Leila the wink was made for a short way to communicate thats all its just a way of being nice to someone, don't take it so hard when someone is trying to be nice to you, and I do understand that you would rather have someone e-mail you and thats cool to, but some guys are shy at sending e-mails at first and maybe they want to see if you are even interested in them before they get shot down after taking the time to send someone a e-mail not to get one back.

That's a fair question Mr. Passion so I'll answer it. When I signed up here, I was dating. Since then, I took on a commitment that doesn't leave much time for anything else in my life. I've made a lot of great friends here on the forums and enjoy being able to talk with them. As long as I'm honest about my reasons for being here, I don't think anyone has a problem with it. The majority of the people who belong to this site never even look at the forums, let alone post a reply here.

Wow! I just learned something. Not that this applies so much to this site but for pay sites at least, I think that someone who isn't a current paying member might send a wink to let someone know there is interest. If they get a response, then they might pay the fee to send them the email.
I guess like many things in life, men and women speak a different language even though they are both speaking Engish. Now that I know what "Wink" means to a woman, I guess I will stop winking. Even though I have read the profile and check out her pictures to make sure I had enought interest to wink in the first place.

no ladies if your profile say that you are not looking thats ok with but what i see worng with that is if you are not looking then you shouldn't have no problems with a guy winking at you cause like you said your not looking but you should ask for pics cause if iam not looking then i don't care what you look like we can talk and move on to other things

Hot... that's just fine. If winks work wonders for you, go for it. Now, if winking means "hi" or "hello" as you have said several times.. then how would a return "hello" tell you that the woman is interested in getting to know you? It's hello, not an invitation.
For me, it tells me the guy is lazy, intimidated, too shy. It doesn't encourage me to do anything else but to wink back but out of kindness, I've emailed many times in response to the silly winks. That took effort on my part and none on his. I've decided to quit going the extra mile for the Winkers and will change my profile to reflect my opinion.
By the way, Hot, I see your wink in my inbox... you do, at least, have a sense of humor.
