So.....what is it about West Virginia that instills such deep devotion and loyalty even in the face of adversity? I know for me it is a mixture of things ranging from family roots to new opportunities that are beginning to open here. Most of all...it is the land, the mountains, the history. Maybe someone else can put it into a better perspective than I can......so someone else try, OK?

Ritchie County. Not too far from Glenville. Like riding the motorcycle, whitewater rivers, fishin, ---hunt for food, not sport--- living rural. Self employed construction worker. Im living in a wonderful place. 5 hours to anywhere, and still have my solitude. Almost Heaven. Life is good.

It is nice to travel around visiting the towns in WVa,people seem different every 30 miles or so.Those ski resorts and parks are ok. I prefer visiting the towns.

i am in parkersburg..mineral wells..i love this state..born and raised here..moved to georgia and florida for a few years.but the hills called me home.i love the beauty of the hills, the changing leaves, although right now i am kinda sick of this winter weather..lol.the people who are here and have learned to survive the tough times, are the strongest and toughest in the country i think..if for some reason, the world came to an end tomorrow, i would want to be in these here hills because i know we could survive..lol
