I love EVERYTHING that Stephen King writes especially the Dark Towers series.... And hey...He lives here in Maine. My sister took me to his house in Bangor... He has a wrought iron fence around it with bats made onto it... really cool.... It's a huge house.

I've seen all the stephen king movies, but none of the books. I enjoyed the Langloiers the most out of the movies. then the classics The Shining, The Thing, & Cujo,

I loved the dark tower series. Paricularly Wizard and Glass and Wolves of the Calla. The ending is perfect, didn't like feeling weird or inferior about wanting to know what happens when Roland enters the tower though. I mean really! Screw susannah and eddie, I wanted to know Rolands fate! Insomnia is probably my favorite book of his. Stand, It, Rose Madder, so many great books, I think he might be the greatest storyteller of history.

Some of the newer stuff is kind of different though. I can't seem to finish The Dome.

He is the master storyteller. I own almost all of his books in hardback 1st editions. I love The Shining,The Stand,The Talisman,The Black House, basically everything he writes. Insomnia was the worst & I read the 1st 3 of the Dark Tower series then didn't bother w the rest of the series.

Coolest Stephen King short story ever: "Here There Be Tygers," in the Skeleton Crew collection. Ok, ok, not Pulitzer Prize winning stuff, but when you're in elementary school squeezing your legs together because you drank three milks at lunch and have to pee so bad, AND you just so happen to have read THAT story the night before....disastrous!!!

i love just about everything he's ever published. must say that misery is one of the scariest books i've ever read in my life, lol. was so scared when the nurse was coming back home and the author was trying to get back into the room, that i had to put the book down and calm down, lol. had to MAKE myself pick the book back up, lol.

The first adult novel I ever read was Cujo, and for a long time, Stephen King was my favorite author. My favorite from him is Bag of Bones. I have read that one 3 times and probably will again. Unfortunately, King has fallen to 2nd place in my list of favorites. Koontz is currently my favorite. I have also read a couple of Tabitha King's novels, and she's pretty good too, though she's not a horror writer.

I like that all of King's work is basically in the same universe. Every story has some reference to people, places, and events from other stories. You get the sense of a possibility for crossovers, but I'm glad he's never done any, to my knowledge.

Stephen King is great, but close second is Koontz! Enjoy the works of both. The Stand and IT were my fav's of King, as far as the books went. The movies never do his books justice. His earlier works as Bachman were great as well. LOL...I was young and thought I found another really cool author who I liked as well as King!

I liked the stand but I hated the ending. The dark tower series frustrated me. 1/2 the books I hated but I had to read them all for I just needed to know the ending and of course the ending frustrated me but i loved how he tied other characters from his other stories into it.

King is my favorite author. Christine was the first of his books that I ever read. My favorite, though, is The Stand. I've read it 7 times. His movies are okay, but many have to cut out a lot of what's in the book because he writes so much, even his short stories get dumbed down in the movies.

The Stand is my favorite, too. I'm not sure how many times I've read it, since the first was about thirty years ago. I dropped off reading his stuff for a while, but have recently gone back and picked up several that I'd missed.

It's quite telling to do a comparative study of King's early works with his more recent endeavors and then balance them with the Richard Bachman stories. Excellent transitional writer!

1) be able to read more than just pictures

2) comprehend the entertainment value

3) understand that Stephen King does not utilize DH services
