There is not a single seafood I have ever met I didn't like and eat too. I commercial fished a good part of my life, fish, lobster and to this day have never gotten my fill.

I don't know if I can pick a fav. Decadent maybe? Lobster Newberg? Crab and scallop stuffed giant shrimp drenched in butter? Hmmm

Clam chowder is definitely a favorite. Sushi is pretty good too, just depends on my mood. I'm in a chowder mood right now.

Love all kinds of seafood though.

Shoot, the only sushi I'm not a gigantic fan of are the canned tuna ones. Even a good California role is delicious to me.

Favorite though, hum. Between salmon and eel I think. Whichever one happens to have daikon and/or avocado with it.

I actually had to look that up. No, I've only ever had it cut in circular slices. Looks good though, all the things I like are there.

You make hand roles? I saw you are an aspiring chef of sorts. I've made sushi before but usually end up going out if I get the craving. Tricky to find sushi grade fish where I live.

I have somewhat of experience with sushi but i only know the easy basics right now such as, avocado rolls and salmon rolls. It's not that hard but it's also not that easy. From my point of view, it takes a lot of practice to getting use to but, it's also fun at the same time

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm crab cakes are the best! I never been into crab legs/lobsters. Even though it's very good, it's too much work with cracking shells.

Just make sure the fish is fresh and use a sharp knife; it takes time learning to get the Yaki Nori or Laver dampened to the right consistency and making the rice sticky and seasoned correctly. With practice you will learn.

I love all seafood, but if you get down to the Gulf Coast, try the local shrimp called Royal Reds, just steamed with butter, you'll be very happy with it.
I do, however, make the perfect Linguini with a White Clam Sauce.

Crab cakes are one of those things that if you ask 10 people you will get 10 different answers. Even in restaurants they vary widly.

Put in a bowl:
2/3 Fresh crabmeat (no need to use jumbo lump unless you really want to splurge)
1/3 Panko (bread crumbs, Believe it or not this helps the crab cake seem more airy or moist)
egg yolk (this is just a binder or glue)
salt and pepper to taste

Roll in a balls or patties

Bake, convection, or fry.

You can add countless other things such as butter, herbs, other seafood, lemon zest, sauteed garlic onion or shallot, and the list goes on and on. Use your immagination. What do you like with crab?
