He is there on business. he says he owns his own business and he is an art dealer.Now he has been beaten and robbed of everything and needs help getting out of that country.He said he can not leave until I send him the money.

Barb? Is this a JOKE thread? Or are you SERIOUS?
It's a scam...Send no money! Tell him you are broke and you'll be waiting for his return.
OR! Ask him where and to whom he needs the money sent to and what service to use. I'm sure he will get RIGHT back to you with the pertinent info. Then make up a 10 digit confirmation code and tell him the cash should be there waiting for him. All he needs is his, a hemmmm, fake ID and the confirmation number. He'll waste a day going into the city to pick up the cash!
Google internet scams and Nigerian scams. 
OK...I tried my best to get it through to you. I'm out. Come back and tell us how much money you lost after this all pans out.

Barb, tell him you don't have the money and see if you hear from him again. I know you want to believe but this is just too off the wall. Do what the others suggested. Call the embassy. He owns his own business is the biggest line with these guys.

I could have lost allot of my money if I had been so believing of others .
Match.com , a gal needed $850.00 for a return flight from Europe .
Knew her a month and after that I knew no more of her .
Another had to have a thousand dollars for the hospital bill that most be paid before
they would release her daughter .
Scammers are all around us .
They are your neighbors , your friends and lovers .

no, he was supposed to come visit me from the UK on Thursday.We have been calling each other and emailing each other every day. He said he loves me!Now he says unless I send him some money he will not be able to come!
