Unless you're getting a face tattoo and you work at a bank. Situations like that don't need to happen.

I will be 50 this year my first tattoo is 34 years old.... My latest is about a month. As my daughter is an artist I am fortunate to be able, now, to get all the work I ever wanted done. I am in the process of a 1/2 sleeve and a full back incorporating existing pieces... I am a masterpiece in progess.
The difference between those of us who have tattoos and those who don't - seems to me to be- we don't care that they don't have them.
When ppl say to me ( often with a snarky sneer ) "I would NEVER get a tattoo !" I always tell them " I would NEVER make you get one"
I wish they would respect my decision as much as I respect theirs.

Def never too old. My first at 16, 29 now. Lots more to do. I went like 5 years without any though... Sometimes life gets in the way for a while. But eventually you go back to yourself

You are NEVER, NEVER, NEVER too old for tattoos. I am 56, got my first tat in 2010.
The stuff about having baggy skin like an elephant and having your tattoo make you
look disgusting....All a bunch of junk.
We love our tattoos! We wil always love our tattoos. That was and always will be the
reason we get them.

No I dont think age should really be a hindrance if you decide to do it. I myself have never gotten a tattoo but Ive considered it into later years. I suppose there might be a greater concern about dermis smoothness and wrinkling and how it will appear as you age but Ive heard that depends on each individual's skin and location of the tat. Im sure a skillful artist would be able to discuss these sort of issues with older clients.

I got my first small one on inside of foot at 42 ! Now few months ago just just got small bird on back of shoulder blade an want to add to it when I can and I'm 55 old as u feel. nose is pierced n Marilyn Monroe piercing on face n also down left ear n cartridge piece by inside of ear! An I like men with some as well ! Depends on guy for me! I say do what makes u happy !

ofcourse you too old, i mean it all depends on how old you really are think about it you 74yrs old, you know how sensitive your skin would be not even, your more likely to catch hepatitis C. in that case get inked before the ages of 43 to 40 that's. if u naked oewit no ink.

By the time I'm finished ( or dead YIKE!)
I will have a continuous interlocking tattoo from my right ankle to behind my left ear.
My eldest daughter is my artist (& she's AMAZING ) so gotta admit -
The MOM rate rocks!!!!
