Getting sleep is a good start to exercise. Without rest the body is tired to do the workout. Then comes fuel no gas no go. Then a good walk to start, weights for strength, Yoga for flex, a workout video total time one hour. Also small bouts thought the day 5 to 10 min. Don't forget water. Lube for joints and pains.

I run everyday and it keeps my body in great shape! But I love to swim so I have a schedule: run in the mornings and three days a week I swim for an hour. On the othe days I either rest or I do upper body workouts. Normally I don't use wieghts bec I'm kinda small but working out def keeps me fit and happy (and able to eat whatever I want!)

My favorite work out is squats. I weight 185 and squared 500 pounds 3 weeks ago. I am feeling pretty hyped for college where I can gain way more weight and strength for power lifting.

That's very impressive, I must admit. In time, I'll be able to squat 500 pounds, but i'm gradually working my way up there. Want to have a solid foundation before I attempt that weight.....gamer

Not being a tall guy, I never wanted to go to where high spine compression over time could possibly shorten my height. Heck, 5-6 women in high heels are my height at 5-11 in shoes. 405 lbs. was my limit.

That's understandable. Being short myself, I always want to go at my limit or just below it. In terms of squats, I'll probably never squat 500 pounds, but I want to be right close to it, say 420......gamer

Top 3 incline barbell bench press
Leg press
Rear military barbell press

Anyone else feel that rear barbell press is equally important as any kind of chest excersise to keep deltoid symmetrical in the front and rear?

No. Our shoulders didn't evolve for behind the neck pressing. With this exercise, your shoulder joints will be fine until they're not.

I don't do front dumbbell/barbell presses anymore only rear barbell presses on shoulder day and a few on back and chest day to even out the delts

Quote from jtfranco:
Jose, you are against rear barbell military(shoulder) presses because of high risk of injury, yet you're a proponent of dead lift and squats? These two exercises are at a much higher risk for injury than any shoulder exercise.

The deadlift or DB squat don't put your joints in extreme positions or angles of movement, the behind-the-neck press does. Our shoulder joints didn't evolve by pressing heavy things behind our head. The DB overhead press is a better alternative. Just saying since you asked. Check out optimalex on YouTube for great biomechanics info.
