What kind of tractor did Mr. Douglas (Oliver) drive on "Green Acres"? That Arnold was really something--the whole supporting cast was great...

In it's role as the farm tractor on Green Acres, the machine went by the name of: Hoyt-Clagwell.

But in real life the role was played by two well known stars: 1) John Deere "GP"; 2) Fordson (model "F").

How big does a tractor have to be in order to be considered a genuine tractor or, or is that one of those subjective deals such as, say, what is the definition of an old truck?

Tractors in movies:

I remember this one young guy had a routine in which he would toss his hat on a branch from a moving tractor before commencing with his plowing duties and when he was done he would reach to grab his hat from the moving tractor...and, yes, one time--the last time--he miscalculated his reach and, yes, that was the end of him...I believe a young Reese Witherspoon was in that film. In another film I can recall some irresponsible young people were playing a game of chicken with tractors...

Decided to add an old car to the old trucks & tractors as I made a deal yesterday for a
1927 Ford model T Roadster. In the deal I will not be picking up the car until after the 1st of the year 2016, this is for my convinance only realy.
The car looks very nice but other than being told it ran breifley last year it has not run in a long time. it does have the wire wheels on it.
hope I can make it a reliable runner for driving to town [5 miles one way] for coffee This old retired farmer still likes to have a bit of fun now and then.

I believe a plane jane, affordable, two wheel drive, gear driven, gasoline tractor is still needed and would be a good seller. People with a few acres, a long drive way, to plant a food plot or large yard could use a 35-40 hp tractor if the price could be reasonable.

Nice, both are getting really sought after

I only bought the 27 Roadster as it was the only one that had a clear title.
I started right up but it ran awful bad. needed mag work & plug wires, right now it needs new transmission bands after trying to climb a hill in high gear

Then just on July 3 I bought a 1925 Ford model TT truck I don't think it has ran sence 1976 as it shows signs of once being panted up in Red White & blue
It comes with a good title also and I will haul it home when I get my new Trailer.
