I think it is a first step , would've like to of seen single payer . But is first step now we need to vote gop out . Take next steps !

Well you can vote for the gop and support the top 2% ! Or vote for the ones that at least say they are for the common person . The ones that won't tax the rich , don't give a sh*t about common people !

Yes I do, though I admit it's definitely not a perfect law.
"Do you think the healt care reform will work? If not why?"
I think the bill will help some at expanding access to healthcare for those who don't have it and reduce costs some because of the 30+ million that it'll cover.
Some may say the 30 million were taking their own risks, and would be stuck with a big amount of debt if they got really sick, but that's just not true. If you can't pay then you can't pay, hospitals have to make up the loss money somewhere, by raising prices on the rest of us who can pay, since hospitals aren't allowed to kick you out if you can't pay.
You may think if you're young and healthy that you can get away going without health insurance, but that's just not true, everyone gets sick eventually. A year ago I went from perfectly fine, to getting weaker and weaker over a few months because my stomach started having trouble keeping anything down. I ended up staying in the hospital for almost a month, getting all sorts of expensive bags of IV fluids each day, and even had a surgery to fix my problems. I'd hate to imagine how much money I'd have owed them if I didn't have a good health insurance plan, probably around half a million dollars with the prices hospitals charge the uninsured for even the smallest things, who has kind of money sitting around?
But still, I feel the law is too weak to be perfect cure all for our problems. Also, the fact is the employer based health insurance system is actually part of our healthcare problem. It's effectively a huge tax on businesses which hurts our competitiveness. It's also the fact that people like the employer based healthcare system that makes reforming healthcare in a meaningful way so difficult.

Do you know how many time Obama had to rewrite the bill because the majority of the house is Republican? They denied and told him to rewrite is about 20 times and then when it went in front of the supreme court they denied parts that he wrote. Crazy if you ask me.
