Most people think I ride Hogs. I do when I can afford one which isnt often these days, so I normally ride old Japbikes, Honda CBs and Goldwings, Kawis, Suzukis, Yamahas, the occasional Britbike and I love old BMWs but again, I'll ride damn near anything I can get my hands on with 2 wheels. Hell, I've had Honda NS50s and stuff like that, just whatever.
Usually though with the size of me and most of the woman I date, I need a bigger bike to hold us. I had a Ural with a hack that was cool when it ran, slow as hell and got about the same mileage as the Mustang I had at the time but fun to ride.
I almost never keep a scoot for any amount of time since there are so many of them out there. I had a Honda PC800 I really liked, looked goofy but it was great for bike camping, and all I had to do was turn the key and go.

Nothing wrong with it but I just don't get the guys or gals tradeing Harleys every 1 to 5 years? As a harly particuler sence 1985 is very reliable for a good long while and each becomes a personal mate to most, or at least me. The year has never made any differance to another rider that I have ever knowen or met. Would I trade mine off for a new one yet... not likely, more likely I would buy a new one to add on And I don't have that feeling of need. I still like my 96 Road King and it's still new to me

I do not ride any more, but this is me over 50 years ago when I used to race scrambles and Hare and Hounds. This was my Tiger Cub. I also had a triumph 650 that I hill climbed with. Never was much of a road rider

I'm sure you'd have no problem finding some lucky fellow in your area to teach you.
You could go take a beginners riding course and get the basics then buy yourself a bike.
