Female genital mutilation
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Female genital mutilation (FGM), also known as female genital cutting and female circumcision, is the ritual removal of some or all of the external female genitalia. Typically carried out by a traditional circumciser using a blade, with or without anaesthesia, FGM is concentrated in 27 African countries, Yemen and Iraqi Kurdistan, and found elsewhere in Asia, the Middle East, and among diaspora communities around the world.[8][n 1] It is conducted from days after birth to puberty and beyond; in half the countries for which national figures are available, most girls are cut before the age of five.[4]

The procedures differ according to the ethnic group. They include removal of the clitoral hood and clitoral glans, removal of the inner labia, and in the most severe form (known as infibulation) removal of the inner and outer labia and closure of the vulva. In this last procedure, a small hole is left for the passage of urine and menstrual fluid; the vagina is opened for intercourse and opened further for childbirth. Health effects depend on the procedure, but can include recurrent infections, chronic pain, cysts, an inability to get pregnant, complications during childbirth, and fatal bleeding.[10] There are no known health benefits.[11]

The practice is rooted in gender inequality, attempts to control women's sexuality, and ideas about purity, modesty and aesthetics. It is usually initiated and carried out by women, who see it as a source of honour and fear that failing to have their daughters and granddaughters cut will expose the girls to social exclusion.[n 2] Over 130 million women and girls have experienced FGM in the 29 countries in which it is concentrated.[3] The United Nations Population Fund estimates that 20 percent of affected women have been infibulated, a practice found largely in northeast Africa, particularly Djibouti, Eritrea, Somalia and northern Sudan.[14][15]

FGM has been outlawed or restricted in most of the countries in which it occurs, but the laws are poorly enforced.[16] There have been international efforts since the 1970s to persuade practitioners to abandon it, and in 2012 the United Nations General Assembly, recognizing FGM as a human-rights violation, voted unanimously to intensify those efforts.[17] The opposition is not without its critics, particularly among anthropologists. Eric Silverman writes that FGM has become one of anthropology's central moral topics, raising difficult questions about cultural relativism, tolerance and the universality of human rights.[18]

12 Pipe Bombs Found In Home of San Bernardino Jihadis

Liberal Narrative BUSTED: San Bernardino Killer Pledged Allegiance to ISIS...
SURPRISE! But of course it's the guns' fault.
louderwithcrowder.com

Oh snap. So not only were the San Bernardino killers not white men who hated black people, not only were the killers not Christian and not NRA members, the Bonnie of the duo wasn’t just Islamic, she actually pledged allegiance to ISIS. What a terrible day to be a liberal who relies on narratives that Islam is the religion of peace and white people with penises suck at life.

“The Overwhelming Majority of Violent Criminals are Democrats”!

By Onan Coca / 2 December 2015

Ted Cruz was a guest on conservative Hugh Hewitt’s radio show when he dropped a spectacular truth bomb on Hewitt’s listeners.
“Here’s the simple and undeniable fact: the overwhelming majority of violent criminals are Democrats. The media doesn’t report that.”
The comment came after the conversation turned to the recent shooting at a Planned Parenthood in Colorado, and Cruz was simply pointing to the disgusting example of media bias that has members of the media actively hoping the criminal is a “conservative” or a Republican.

Ted Cruz ?believes that, “The overwhelming majority of violent criminals are Democrats.”

Appearing on the Hugh Hewitt Show on Monday, Cruz claimed the Colorado Planned Parenthood shooting “has really displayed the ugly underbelly of the media. You know, every time you have some sort of violent crime or mass killing, you can almost see the media salivating, hoping, hoping, desperately that the murderer happens to be a Republican so they can use it to try to paint their political enemies.”

“Now listen, here’s the simple and undeniable fact. The overwhelming majority of violent criminals are Democrats,” insisted Cruz. “The media doesn’t report that. What they report, and there’s a reason why the Democrats for years have been viewed as soft on crime because they go in and they appoint to the bench judges who release violent criminals, they go in and they do what Barack Obama tried to do, which is appoint a lawyer who voluntarily represented for free, a cop killer to a senior Justice Department position.”

Cruz explained that Democrats “fight to give the right to vote to convicted felons, why, because the Democrats know that convicted felons tend to vote Democrat.”

Quote from all the papers:
Senate Republicans rejected a bill that aims to stop suspected terrorists from legally buying guns, on Thursday. The vote came a day after at least 14 people were killed during the San Bernardino massacre in California by two suspects, including a woman said to have pledged allegiance to ISIS.

Forty-five senators voted for the bill and 54 voted against it. One Democrat, Sen. Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota, and one Republican, Sen. Mark Kirk of Illinois, crossed party lines.

The GOP likes to talk big all of the time about going to war and kicking isis' butt, yet they're scared to death of the NRA in the USA!

The Sinister Difference Between "ISIS" and "ISIL"
Here is an explanation of the difference between the terms ISIS
and ISIL. I have been suspicious of the term ISIL to which the
administration stubbornly clings.
ISIS = Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. Iraq is to the east of Jordan
(shaped like the hatchet) and Syria is to the north.

ISIL = Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. Iraq is still to the east
of Jordan, and “the Levant” is a term that comes from “the rising
(of the sun, i.e., to the east)” - and is basically the land along the Mediterranean - that includes Lebanon, Israel, and similar countries.

By saying ISIL, you “negate” Israel as its own country and lump it in
with the rest of the countries along the Mediterranean - and Israel
sort of disappears (loses its sovereignty) and becomes part of “the
Levant ” which is therefore part of ISIL.

If you've wondered, as I have, why all government agencies and
especially BHO calls it ISIL and even spells it out every time it’s used,
instead of ISIS as the rest of the world, here's the answer.

Decoding Obama’s speech reveals some startling revelations.

In one press conference after another, when referring to the Muslim
terror super-group ISIS, United States President Barack Obama will use
the term ISIL, instead of their former name ISIS, or current name
Islamic State.

Have you ever wondered about that? Here is the difference:

What makes up the near exact center of the Muslim Levant ? Israel.
ISIL stands for the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant.

Now, to us Westerners we don't really make much of a distinction,
do we? No, honestly from our perspective it’s all about the same.
But how would a Muslim living in the Middle East view it?

Just what is the Levant anyway? Let’s take a look.

The geographical term LEVANT refers to a multi-nation region in the
Middle East. It’s a land bridge between Turkey to the north and
Egypt to the south.

If you look on a map, however, in the near exact middle of the
nations that comprise the Levant, guess what you see?

It’s Israel.

When Barack Obama refers over and over to the Islamic State as ISIL,
he is sending a message to Muslims all over the Middle East, that he
personally does not recognize Israel as a sovereign nation, but as
territory belonging to the Islamic State.

Now you know why Obama says that he has no plan, no goal, and
no stated aim for dealing with ISIS. But he does have a plan, and
it’s a really nasty, diabolical one. Obama’s plan is to drag his feet
for as long as he can, doing only the bare minimum that Congress
forces him to do. His plan to buy ISIL as much time as possible to
make as many gains as they can.

Listen as Obama and his press secretary and the spokesperson for
the State Department and his Joint Chiefs of Staff painstakingly spells
out the letters I-S-I-L so there is no doubt in your mind.

And it’s working.

The Islamic State has garnered millions of dollars, a vast cache of
weapons, and in their latest foray have captured Syrian fighter jets
and now 12 commercial passenger planes. With each passing day
that Obama fulfills his stated aim of doing nothing, the Islamic State
grows by leaps and bounds. The ultimate goal, of course, has not
changed and will never change.

The ultimate goal is the destruction of Israel.

Now you know a little bit more about why Obama chooses his
words so carefully.

i am glad we are finally learning a little about some of the victims like
this true AMERICAN hero who gave his life to save another.

In the form of an email, Peraza wrote in part: "Wednesday morning at 10:55 a.m., we were seated next to each other at a table, joking... would have never guessed that only five minutes later, we would be huddled next to each other under that same table, using a fallen chair as a shield from over 60 rounds of bullets being fired across the room."

Peraza was shot in the lower back.

Her statement came after she received the heartbreaking news that Johnson did not survive the mass shooting, prompting her to reveal the selfless act he committed for her.

"I will always remember his left arm wrapped around me, holding me as close as possible next to him behind that chair, and amidst all the chaos, I'll always remember him saying these three words, 'I got you.' I believe i am still here today because of this amazing man."

Johnson was an inspector at the public health department who lived in Koreatown and left home at 4:45 a.m. to take the train to the job he loved in San Bernardino.

"This amazing, selfless man who always brought a smile to everyone's face in the office ... this is Shannon Johnson, who will be deeply missed by all ... my friend, my hero."

Tonight President Obama is giving an address to tell us how he plans to keep us safe from the threat of terrorism. But unless he wakes up from his dream world and admits who the enemy is, he’s bound to fail.

"I stand behind you in line at the store with a smile on my face...and a gun under my shirt and you are none the wiser, yet you are safer for having me next to you. I won't shoot you. My gun won't pull it's own trigger. It is securely holstered with the trigger covered. It can't just go off. However, rest assured that if a lunatic walks into the grocery store and pulls out a rifle, I will draw my pistol and protect myself and my family and therefore protect you and your family. I may freeze up. I may piss my pants. I may get shot before I can pull the trigger...but, I won't die in a helpless blubbering heap on the floor begging for my life or my child's life. I won't be that victim. I choose not to be. As for you, I don't ask you to carry a gun. If you are not comfortable, then please don't. But I would like to keep my right to choose to not be a helpless victim. There is evil in the world and if evil has a gun, I want one too..." -Brian Cerny

Philadelphia police, the FBI and the city's human relations commission launched investigations Monday after a worker at North Philadelphia mosque found a severed pig's head outside its door.

Surveillance video outside the Al Aqsa Islamic Society mosque, on Germantown Avenue near Jefferson Street, showed a red pickup truck that drove twice past the building just before 11 p.m. Sunday.

The first time it crept along slowly near the curb. On its second pass, the video shows, someone extended an arm from the passenger window and tossed something that rolled to a stop near the mosque's front door.

An employee found the bloodied animal head there around 6 a.m. Monday. Pigs are considered insulting to Muslims who observe halal dietary laws.

Police and the FBI confirmed they were reviewing the incident, though said it was too early to discuss any potential charges.

"We've got to be involved," said officer Pete Berndlmaier of the 26th police district, who gathered information at the scene. "If they get away doing something like that, they are going to up the ante."

Police retrieved the surveillance video and interviewed potential witnesses. In the video, which was viewed by The Inquirer, the truck's license plate isn't easily discernible, but officers said it could possibly be enhanced forensically.

Rue Landau, executive director of the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations, said the incident could be a possible violation of the city's ordinance on ethnic intimidation and institutional vandalism.

"It is," Landau said, "a heinous act that sends a message to Arab-American communities that they are not wanted here in Philadelphia and that could not be further from the truth."

Philadelphia Mayor-elect Jim Kenney expressed outrage.

"The bigotry that desecrated Al-Aqsa mosque today has no place in Philadelphia," he said in a statement. Philadelphia "has a long history of coming together in the face of challenge. We cannot allow hate to divide us now, in the face of unprecedented difficulties. I ask all Philadelphians to join me in rejecting this despicable act and supporting our Muslim neighbors."

Marwan Kreidie, who as head of the Arab American Development Corp. maintains an office at the mosque, reported the incident to the FBI in Philadelphia.

FBI spokeswoman Carrie Adamowski said agents are investigating.

Kreidie said the terror attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, along with the anti-immigrant rhetoric of some politicians, have recently ramped up hostility against Arabs.

"It's worse now that it was after 9/11," he said, "which is really frightening. [September 11, 2001] was a horrible incident but we didn't have this kind of reaction, nobody threw a pig's head. ... A pig's head doesn't do much. Could the next thing be a pipe bomb?"

Nabil Ibrahim Khalil, the caretaker at Al Aqsa since it opened 23 years ago, said an anonymous caller left a voicemail on the day after the Paris terror attacks last month in which he called Allah "a piece of pork s--.'' The answering machine trapped the male caller's number, which was turned over to police.

Still Khalil said he was unsure if the two incidents are related.

Lt. John Stanford, spokesman for Philadelphia police, said officers will try to determine if charges are warranted. "Obviously, people shouldn't be leaving pigs at houses of worship," he said.

Landau, from the human relations commission, said there's a balancing act that must occur when deciding how much to publicize such incidents.

You want people to know what has happened, she said, but don't want to "multiply the negative effect by giving extra press to the ... hateful acts."

WHO doesn't understand that if Farook had no access to guns, he would use bombs, fire, chemicals? Jihad has found ways for over 1000 years.
