friendlyholly Johnson City, TN 33, joined Sep. 2013	my fav yarn is the multi colored you can make such pretty things with it and you can use yarn for every thing even christmas decorations i am working on my biggest project yet a crochetted bed spread you know how most knitted or crochetted bed spreads have big holes in them and they wont keep you warm well i am making one that has almost no holes and will be verry warm

godsbutterfly1 Woodlyn, PA 62, joined Dec. 2010	I made a queen sized afghan in December. I used the shell stitch for it because someone ordered it that way. I just learned how to do booties and have really enjoyed making a blanket, hat and bootie set for my niece's baby who is due very soon.

I call them no brainers because I can take them with me when I go camping and work on them without having to worry about losing count. Im using up yarn that someone gave me or that I bought years ago when I was getting my stash ready for retirement. No time like the present to be using it.

janet5360 Pittsburgh, PA 64, joined Dec. 2013	I knit and crochet my squares the warm months and put them together in the fall/winter months. Too bad we cant all get together and swap squares. I think Im going to do some embroidery and work on quilt squares this summer.

Ravenkat Gilbert, AZ 63, joined Oct. 2014	I like working with yarn also. I crochet and Knit. I like the how the knitting comes out, but it is a lot slower than crocheting. I just started to work with the round square looms. They are okay to work with, but most of the patterns uses double thread. I have made things from blankets to doilies. I wish people were closer to get together and share patterns and Ideas, or just to have a coffee/craft chats.

She plans to complete a 1,000 sets by the time she is done with her treatment. In the past she hangs the sets on trees and lets people take them.

I was made aware over this summer just how cold the treatment rooms are kept while having a scan at our local hospital. In order for the equipment to work rooms must be kept cool. Hats and gloves or mittens also booties for adults are needed year round as most have no fat to keep them warm.

I find your comment extremely important; unfortunately, the people in charge of the cancer group (survivors / patients) doesn't agree with your suggestion. Will the gloves made of acrylic material do? I can get few dozens and give them to a local cancer group.
