I made Snickerdoodle/Apple Pie bars tonight-- OH YUMMY!

Preheat oven to 350 for a non-stick pan-- 375 for a glass pan

I just took 2 pouches of Betty Crocker Snickerdoodle cookie mix-- prepare dough according to directions except I mixed one pouch of the cinnamon sugar right into the dough-- I used 2 cans of apple pie filling-- using my potato masher to make the apple pieces smaller. I spread half the cookie dough into a greased 13" x 9" pan-- baked for about 10 minutes-- topped with pie filling-- used a spoon to drop balls of remaining cookie dough on top-- sprinkled with 2nd cinnamon sugar pouch and baked about 20-25 minutes more-- SO easy and makes the house smell wonderful

I have seven books on baking chocolate, including the famous "Death by Chocolate", so much more fun than using a boxed mix, plus a few hand me down recipes from relatives, but in the summertime there is not so much demand for these goodies, alas sometimes the heat takes away the appetite for sweets, unless they are frozen.

But did you know the demand for ice cream is higher in the winter than the summer?
Reminds me, pull out the ice cream maker, homemade chocolate Gellato today.

Just made a batch of these-- ORANGE CREAMSICLE GREEK YOGURT BITES-- they're still setting up but I licked the spoon and it tastes just like Orange Sherbet Gonna be a great snack for my kiddo cause they taste yummy and have a healthy serving of protein

Combine 1 1/2 Cups of vanilla Greek yogurt with 1- 4 serving size pkg of Orange Jello-- stir up well-- microwave for 1 minute-- stir again-- microwave another 1 minute-- pour into cupcake liners-- put in fridge for a couple hours to set up...
