There are a lot of missconceptions from the outsiders point of view. A lot of people think, if a women is interested in bodybuilding that is a sigh of some kind of disfunction in her, because its a sport only for men….I am NPC Figure competitor and I don't consider bodybuilding as only men's sport.

Hell no its not just a mans sport. The women rock. LOL. Those people that say, Im scared of a woman with bigger biceps than me, I have to laugh. Man you guys are soooo very wrong. The discipline and disire it takes to achieve this condition is nothing less than truely amazing . I have been training and competing for decades. I used to say the same thing about the women. But when , I matured and realized that I was insecure and acting like that stero typical male that is dominate , I realized how wrong I was. All women are beautiful , in one way or another. God bless the women ...

Walking into a gym and seeing a beautiful woman deadlifting, squatting, or doing lunges gets the HR up just a well as cardio. So in general, I think women that strength train are sexy.
But female bodybuilders that take testosterone enhancing supplements and that look like men are not attractive.

I work out at the local YMCA. I enjoy the weight room. Years ago (while still married) the wife told me that if my chest got bigger than hers I had to stop weight lifting. Ugh.

75% of men have a bigger chest than me naturally. but I'm ok with that, little boobs don't get in the way of my working out.

I agree with Dixie. I hear women all the time complain big boobs can get in the way and are overall uncomfortable. Frankly with my average weight I wouldn't look good if they were bigger. I prefer tone over bulk, but if that is what a lady wants I say go for it.

When a woman has a fitness model look with SOME muscle, to me, that looks healthy and feminine. But the ones who are all musclebound and look juiced up, that is NOT feminine. Any guy who finds that attractive must have issues.

I have people tell me I'm too "muscled". I just feel I'm well toned. But most guys are used to seeing blobby looking women. It's become the norm. Someone with a build like me, which really isn't THAT extraordinary, is the weird one out. I was looking at some old pictures from the 20s-50s. Women back then HAD tone from chores and household work etc.

You don't look too muscled. You look good. You carry it well.

Very true. People who workout are meant to feel weird nowadays because being physically active has become more of a rarity.
I crack up when people give me weird looks and shake their heads at me when I'm doing burpees, using the battle ropes, pushing the Prowler sled, or running sprints. I'm proud of my work ethic and devotion to fitness because I'll never be one of those athletes that peaked in high school that winds up with a beer gut.

That's very true also. I get ridiculed all the time. I'm not trying to sound condescending but it comes from the same people that complain they're tired all the time, bored. They wonder why I don't get sick and ask for part of my energy and stamina.

I think slender tone looks extremely nice on women. Just think back to Linda Hamilton in that second Terminator film. I read about the training for that role and she smoked continually the entire time she was working out. She said it didn't effect anything overtly so her trainer permitted it to carry on.

They shake their heads at you, r, cause you're not supposed to be doing those at the nightclub

So true I lost 40 pounds and people ask me if I still "diet". Tell someone you mainly drink water and they'll be like "wtf".

I'm not bodybuilding, but why when a woman lifts about as much weighs and perform a new move, they stop and look at you like you're crazy. I'm not understanding it. When you are at the gym, you're there to workout not look at everybody else. Like when I did the incline and decline chest press, on the incline I turn my palms of my hand upwards, okay. And I know who I am. I'm not trying to out do anyone. I'm not going to feel your pain.

My observation is that most men, who complain about female bodybuilders, are rarely in great shape themselves.
It takes hard work for men to get muscles, It takes twice as much hard work for women to get muscles. I respect the effort.

I think a female with lean muscular physique is ideal as long as it's aesthetic.. But that's relative.
