No plans for a trip. Don't like to travel anymore.
I have a nice shady back yard and a new deck to enjoy.
I am off work four days a week. I'm good.
Anybody planning a vacation? ( Same question)

Usually we do have quite a 'to do' for the 4th of July.

But, as something of you may know, my daughter suffers with petit Mal and grand Mal seizures. In addition, she has a brain tumor. She has been extremely I'll for quite a while: many, many seizures, many hospitalizations. She has been faced with months and months of "testing" requirements in order meet specific neurological protocols prior to a potential brain surgery.

She was just advised today that her last step (test) before a surgery could even be considered has been approved by her insurance company (extremely expensive procedure) and she will be going into a hospital Seizure Care Unit to be removed from her seizure meds under medical care and as soon as a seizure orvaura begins to present she will undergo a highly technical seizure testing procedure. She will be hospitalized several days.

She will go into hospital a week from Monday.

We will celebrate the outcome of successful procedure and not plan for too strenous a holiday if she has not completely recovered.

During blooming season (I love Florala in their natural habitat) I often use a beautiful bloom to float as a table setting centerpiece.

Very true, Sheeza. The love and concern for one's children doesn't diminish no matter their age. (A child is a part of the mother's body that can never be denied. A child may wed and make a public vow for better or worse but a mother commits to a lifetime of love, unconditionally.)

Thank you, Bub -- we are all showing signs of trepidation and hope, all rolled together.

Thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.

Not really! A few thundersorms, to be expected, and a couple of high wind events -- nothing too destructive.

We had a storm with high winds and hail two weeks ago.....

So much hail a half mile southeast of me that the city brought out a snow plow and front end loader to clear it.....

Hellz Bellz.... I asked the question in the first place. We have a huge fair with big name entertainment, both Country and Rock. If I have a significant other, we usually catch one of the concerts. Probably not this year as I keep becoming insignificant to the other.....

When my oldest nephew was here he was telling us a story about his wife. She has very very short tips of her thumb's, that last joint. Anyway he said he likens it to a T-Rex with short arms when she text on her phone and then he proceeds to do an imitation complete with sound effects. I almost had tears running down my face. Sometimes there is no mercy in this family.

Of course you had to be there. its just the best to belly laugh with family.

I too will watch something funny or even read something in here and laugh out loud.

Read a joke on FB the other day and laughed very hard. Joke is as reads, but cleaned up a little for this telling. Use your imagination for full effect:
Man in line at Walmart with a 50 pound bag of dog food. Woman behind him asked "Do you have a dog?" The guy answered. No I thought I'd do the dog food diet again. Last time I woke up in the hospital with tubes in every orfice. But it's a wonderful diet because I lost 50 pounds." The woman asked "Oh, was it poisonous?" The guy replied. "NO, I saw this cute little puddle and ran into the street to check her out and a car hit me".

Yep, Sankie I've heard that one too.

Someone posted a video where they had out a mask that looked like a human with big smile with teeth showing. I looked at it for about 30 seconds then it hit me and I did laugh out loud sitting her all by my lonesome.

Does it seem to crack you up when you laugh out loud and no one else is around to hear it??
