Love exploring... There are caves that have been modified as well as tunnels, and structures that were used to bring contraband in during the prohibition. One that I recently visited is called Rum RUnners and it is located in san diego. It is hard to find it unless it is low tide. There are three or more entrances.
The rum runners used to take their boats and fill them with supplies in mexico, wait until night and sneak back to the US and into the caves where they would be stocked & distributed.
There is a strange energy about this place. When you go in, you can definitely feel something. In some areas, there was a bit of graffiti but not so bad. Deep inside the place became creepy. We found a makeshift cell and scratches on the wall that were most likely made by the occupants.

That looks pretty cool! I never knew those existed! I wonder how long it took for them to make those!

Any places that you have been to that stand out?
Here is a Ghost Town that resides beneath a lake. The water had receded just enough so I could get some shots.

Yes, I toured Detroit a few months ago. It looked like a scene from a post apocalyptic movie. Huge multimillion dollar buildings abandoned with wind blowing through broken windows and debris everywhere.
One day I'm going to go explore the upper peninsula for old mining towns and buried treasure, lol.
