there was one amc javelin I really loved. it was the javelin that was longer in length,and it was a sst? im not sure of the year,maybe a 71-72"?

The 1977-1990 Chevy Caprice. Just as long as you didn't get it with a V-6 or a diesel. Yes, they did have a few issues. Like a camshaft failure or a turbo 200 transmission going south. But with correct maintenance and care, they were pretty indestructible.
Not only that, but they were easy to fix and repair. I swapped out a tired 305 with a built 327, had the transmission reworked, and drove that car until it rotted out from underneath me.
They wouldn't win any styling awards, but they were so big and comfortable, who cared?

I stuffed a mildly built 454 into a 2 door Caprice. Soooo much fun blowing the doors off 3rd gen Camaros and Mustangs... And like you said, just like a lazy boy.

im not a fan of foreign cars,but the Honda prelude in the 80's was a great car,sporty,attractive and reliable too.
I wonder why they stopped making them,although I hear theyre bringing them back.

If you ever had to change out an alternator on a 1980's Honda, your view of them would be different.
Shop manual says to remove the drivers side axle. I cheated. I took off the motor mount bolts and jacked up the engine until I had just enough room to force it out the bottom.
My Caprice? I had that alternator changed in less than 1/2 hour. Didn't break a sweat or even get dirty.

I suggest prayer when lowering your driver's side window. The fishing line used to equalized breaks pretty regularly. When replacing, use a DORMAN brand replacement. It comes with a new motor, heavier fish line and is $100 cheaper than the dealer.

The Tucker 48 was way ahead of of everything else made in the USA at the time. Ain't it wonderful how the government and the crooked news media can destroy a mans hopes,dreams, and life.

The Tucker 48 was an advanced automobile conceived by Preston Tucker and briefly produced in 1948. The company folded on March 3, 1949, due to negative publicity initiated by the news media, a Securities and Exchange Commission investigation and a heavily publicized stock fraud trial "in which allegations were proven baseless in court with a full acquittal".
Speculation exists that the Big Three automakers and Michigan senator Homer S. Ferguson also had a role in the Tucker Corporation's demise.

That headlight that turned with the steering, was an excellent idea! You're headed where the front wheels are pointed, not the rear.
The model T was a pretty good design, 100+ years later people are still building, modifying, and driving them. What other car on earth can you get any part for today?

Nah the model T is famous only because it was the first American built car ...people restore it for sentimental reasons and no other...they drop a Chevy engine on it to be proud...if it were any close to being good they'd keep everything original...unlike the 50s corvettes people restore to original condition. .now that's a car duh. ..

The model T was & is the best car ever made not modern enginering but for the time & the roads it was near perfict and best of all cheap and much better than a horse. And could be fixed to go again easy when it did break. Truly the most importen car ever. You can not judge it by today
