cupocheer Assumption, IL 67, joined May. 2010	This is a dating site. Why would anyone come onto this site in an Invisible mode when the initial feature is automatically set to the Visible mode? That type behavior by a new member could only indicate a member who is up to no good. Many initial features have time limits of membership applied; would it be feasible to add a time limit to new members whereby they must remain in a Visible locked mode until their probation status expires on good behavior? Maybe they're just browsing the DH inventory and don't want to be seen? Or, maybe they're getting too many unsolicited messages? A person starting out with a profile that is invisible doesn't seem like that big of a deal. But, I see your point.

A 'browser' of inventory isn't the same thing as a poster. So why would a veritable newbie come on the site and immediately begin posting in an Invisible state? Being on a dating site they want to be noticed ... So how does the Invisible mode while browsing the inventory even jive with being interested in making contacts in the dating scene?

Some people just want to call all the shots and do things on their own terms without having to deal with deluge of messages from people who don't measure up to what they want. If they have been on the site to see what it was all about and possibly communicate with some of the other members. Then they may make the choice to be invisible so as not to be bothered by those they do not wish contacting them. But to come onto a dating site as a newbie and automatically switch the visible function to the invisible function smacks of dishonesty, spammers, scammers, and troublemakers and multiple profilers. jmho
