Why is it when u tell people that u have cancer they run the other other way I do not understand I feel like that I need to find a cave and stay

Too much info...get a date first then find the time to talk about medical problems as imo the first date should be causual setting maybe dutch and Q& A each other for future dates. ..if you like that meeting and you can open and results are mutual make more dates...jmo
All us guys and gals begin to eventually break down like the belts in a car...replace one, another breaks, then another. .

As a multiple cancer survivor I would be left with the impression that it is not other people who have run away but you, yourself, who have not come to terms with your condition. But have receded into an abyss of self-pity and denial.
Been there. Done that.
Find a legitimate cancer support group to help you work through and boost your ego which will aid you greatly in your personal struggle.

My answer has nothing to do with hoses and belts.
For me, it's not about the cancer or the lady, but rather, my weakness. I couldn't handle having to go through that with her. Mea Culpa.

I know that but I stay sick from the treatments and this last one has really mad me sick and they want to want to know why thank all of u for your comment

Just the word "cancer" scares some people because it use to be a death sentence. Maybe they fear getting close to someone with cancer because they can't handle the thought of losing them.
Times have changed and many have either conquered it or have it in remission. My sister fights an ongoing battle with cancer flair ups but leads a productive lifestyle.
Take care of your health first. If you dealing well with cancer treatment, I see no reason why friends or someone you are dating would run away. Why would you want them if they did?

Thoughts are with you today. Whatever you do don't get dehydrated during these treatments because it makes the reaction to the treatments much worse. Hope today is a good one for you.

hope things get better for you soon ..i had a scare from june to october this last year the doctor thought i had a rare kidney cancer..but thank god i had a miracle when he got in there what was there was gone??????plus i worked for years as a nurse..some of us have much compasion and fully realize you have feelings and are a real person..
and i must say i have to agree..the people that do that you need to just forget if possible because they are weak..and don't have coping skills,,but with that said they are also human and no one handles things the same way...we are all individuals...is better to find out now.....

That's sweet Purple. As much as health issues scare me, I would never turn my back in fear. I may need time to cry and compose myself but I would never turn my back on a friend with cancer. I have had a friend, with terminal brain cancer, refuse to let me, or anyone, visit her. She did not want me to see her like that. I sent her cards but will never know if she received them. I hope she did because I wanted her to know how much her friendship meant to me.

i'm sure those cards ment much to her...because all we need sometimes is to know someone is out there that does care. it does help so you did what you could..
i found out more than any time in my life..while i worked as a nurse and during the time i cared for my dad then later my mom and my stepdad after my mom and did all there funeral's alone...how some people have no empathy or sympathy at all...just not in there personality or heart???????? or they do not know how to show it which can be difficult.
but that is where the saying comes from ....you will know who your real friend's are..
that is why i said forget the others...they will drain your power actually to fight your illness...i'll shut up now..

Even if I hate been around them a while I tell them I have to go on the hospital for a week they run I'm tired of that I'm taking interleukin and I'm in ICU for a week thank everyone for writing back
