However, there is a HA-YOOG element of social upbringing that you have to deal with when you are a taller woman. Despite decades of so-called "liberation," a majority of males still know well, from the time we are young, that we are supposed to be bigger and stronger than everyone else around us. Hell, leadership itself is often decided by who is tallest. It's why there IS such a thing as a "napoleon complex." A lot of people are psychologically set up to think "tall equals in charge." Maybe just because most of the time, parents are taller than we are until we are adults, and we only get to move out and do what we want when we reach their same height. Anyway, my point is, that it isn't FEAR that's involved. It's social training. Some guys will be messed up by it, some wont. The thing to watch out for though, is you yourself. You might be doing all sorts of things without realizing it, which signal to the guys you meet, that you think less of them because there IS less of them. Lots of people don't even notice that they talk to shorter people as though they are children, for example. That's a huge problem for so-called Little People in society, and even affects some wheelchair bound people, simply because their heads are lower than everyone else's. Maybe the men you are with who are shorter or the same size as you, notice that you are deferring to taller people but not to them, or that you are speaking to them less respectfully or in a more "familiar" way than taller people. So do take a look at yourself in this. You may be showing signs of accepting society's take on height equaling value as well, without realizing it.

Most men are intimidated...in schoool I got picked on ALL the time because they were so intimidated by me. I was a quiet shy girl and they just targeted me. I bet quite a few of them had a crush on me but was too scared to express it so they tried to make me feel like a freak in exchange. Last year I found out my ex best friend had a crush on me the entire time and he's 5'3 . I hate when men say I ain't afraid of you I can handle you..like height isn't really that big of a deal. I dated a guy name Miguel a longggg time ago and he was 5'4 . It wasn't awkward for us at all . My babyfather is 5'10..I'm way taller than him . My other exes were also short they were around 5'5. I've only dated one tall guy and he was my exact same height but he was too skinny . I like thick chunkier men.

When I went to my 20th high school reunion I heard this comment 3 or 4 times, "I had such a huge crush on you but you were so outgoing and knew everyone I was to intimated to ask you out. I know all women have the same feeling and fears, height for me really only comes in to play when dancing, and maybe car choice (I have an RX7 it snug on my 6ft frame) I love women of all shapes and sizes I have dated a woman 6'4" n heel to 4'11" and between; it is about the woman not the height, now while physical features play roll, a great smile and good attitude goes way further than being 6'2".
