I tried to send you an email but your profile is still set on invisible. I just wanted to tell you that your post was a class act in offering your prayers to Sorp and his mom.
I had a long conversation with Sorp today and he is heartbroken and doesn't feel like posting anything yet but he asked me to thank you and everyone else who has posted in this thread for their prayers. Sorp's mom continues to be in ICU but her doctor's have seen some slight improvement in her hand and eye movement and detected more alertness. Sorp will have more to say about all of this when he feels like writing and once again he truly appreciates all the prayers.

I want to thank everyone that posted here. ..she faces an uphill battle and today was her 9th day in ICU...should and when she recovers i intend for her to see this thread ...there is slight improvements but i think she might be fighting an infection too...should know after a catscan is done in next few days..
So again to all that posted...THANK YOU ALL

MR.SORP, You are indeed a class act for coming on my thread and posting when your beloved mom still has a ways to go before she is out of the woods. The slight improvement is GREAT news and I think, and hope, that I can speak for everyone who has posted on this thread in saying that we all will continue to pray for your mom.
When you get right down to it SPORTS is meaningless when it comes to what really matters in life. I'm proud to call you my friend!

My mom had a catscan with contrast after i left...the doctor will contact the radiologist sometime in morning...they say improving but imo i think she may have an infection but dont know where. She has pain...much...thanks for the posts folks

Heading to hospital now my mom has developed pneumonia in both lungs and the antibiotics have to do its job but at 83 sometimes they dont reached its destination timely...she supposedly slept peacefully but please keep her in your prayers...thank you everyone

Thanks for the phone call last night to keep me updated and like 10s has said, my prayers will continue for your mom, her doctors, and you.
@joe, I hope you are safe from all of that mess going on in Baltimore and my prayers are with you and for all that mess to come to an end also.
While we are all sending prayers, let's don't forget all of those who have been affected by that horrible earthquake.
Now back to Sorp's mom since that's what this thread is all about. Please keep us all posted Sorp about your mom's situation as you find out more.

Thanks people..a few of my mom's friends showed up and that helped some then rested..she is extremely weak but wants out...they began a liquid diet but hardly touched much food fed to her by nurse...but tomorrow's another day.. btw she knows my birth day when one of her friends asked...i did not tell her it was sunday...

After 17 days out of ICU and onto the post surgical floor around 5 pm today...she has to build up strength and get rid of the pneumonia in both lungs...she's tough...

She had ctscan with contrast before i left...also started therapy at same hosp today for my left leg...she is very weak and maybe lost 20 lbs or more...she's maybe 90 lbs but tough...she hates drink stuff for that contrast but cousin has a PHD in pharmacy mixed ice tea with it and she drank it down...so thanks again...maybe soon I'll show her this thread...

Thanks for all the posts...my trips will be longer but I'm lucky i have her cousin the pharmacist and her husband a retired gastroenterologist on our side to talk to doctors..she is so skinny i hope the clothes i bring will fit her...
