You may think that it's simple and basic, but the first rule of thumb is, don't sound completely illiterate.
No matter what your goal may be here, even if it's only friends, do you think you'd want to be friends with someone as illiterate as you sound in this jumble of words that you think is a sentence? That is a rhetorical question.
If you want a review, another thing you have to realize is that sharing your interests is probably a good way to start. Not only that, they are searchable, so that alone increases your chances of finding a date or even just a friend.
Try actually writing a profile with the tips you've received and then come back for a follow-up, but at the present, you don't have anything in your profile that would even pass for a profile....
