I love hunting bear in vermont when we get the 1st snow I track them had very good luck doing this it makes your heart beat out of your chest I love it nothing better

I used to hunt with the west Virginia bear hunters association, with dogs, but I have never tracked them on foot like you have.

Don't yet have any bears to hunt hear, but I expect our game commission to fix that the same way they did the mountain lion hear. Transplant

They started hunting them just last year, Plenty of regulation for out of state hunters

Game Commission started one in Florida this year, but appears the only reason they did was to make more money Have a hunt in an area that is full of them but would have to purchase the "expensive" license way ahead of time and pray the limit was not reached before the time my hunt is started....greedy bastards they are
Every year it gets worse, they lied about the pythons being turned loose by individuals so they could get $100 every year out of everyone who owned snakes...it was hurricane Andrew tearing down the South Florida Serpintarium and breeding facilities (already licensed) that released them into the Everglades

Sour Grapes-Maybe, I was protesting at the Tallahassee Commission meeting in 1992 when they banned Bear Hunting and it was a $5 stamp that I would now be age exempted from if they were not so greedy

It opened today here in NW Florida I have no desire to shoot a bear but I wish everyone the best of luck I hunt and fish and wish the bears and hogs were all gone they f**k up everything in the woods

Best thing ever invented for bears is the 22 rimfire with the SSS bullet...one in the gut and they go miles before checking out No noise and no blood trail

.17HMR is good also No bears hear but for coyote must be a gut shot though or it may not make it off your land

Only reason I say SSS is it is 60 grains, long and thin so like an arrow it has super penetration at its quiet sub sonic speed-no one hears the shot to report it

Around here we have grizzlies and every year some one gets their a** handed to them by a big griz.Some think that bear spray will send a griz running but that can't be further from the truth.Bear spray will work "some of the time"only an idiot would trust their life to a can of spray.I never go into the woods without a gun as a back up even when I'm with other people that are hunting black bears.
