Perhaps in her mind this guy raped her because she feels violated by him and her inability to cut ties from him. She's chosen to blame the guy rather than herself for keeping contact. My best friend's friends all hate her and are jealous of her. But she hangs onto them because if she doesn't she wont have any friends but me, and after college our friendship had been long distance and now we're even farther apart. She's slowly becoming independent of them but that's after 7 years of me constantly beating the same words against her head.
