Pretty sure there are still a few mods.
When I first returned, I was getting a lot of spammers. You know, the ones that would have a hyperlink or telephone number?
I started screenshotting there messages and emailing them to the FTC, after finding the phone companies that owned the telephone numbers too, btw.
Almost everyone of those profiles have been deleted, and I haven't gotten any spam messages from fake profiles in at least 5 months. The FTC imposes heavy fines to any company that gets caught using these type of websites, via the private messaging systems, for advertising or committing fraud.
(i.e. Fraudster purchases VOIP telephone service, to get a phone number. When you call it, the PC terminal captures your caller ID information, which can be used to steal your identity)
While the FTC email address does not necessarily crack down on the actual criminal, they will fine the shit out of the telephone service provider, for this customer harassing people or using the telephone service to commit a felony.
Yes, working for AT&T was by far one of the BEST jobs I ever had the privilege of having. They are a great company for fraud detection and privacy protection. Top notch training programs and if any of you get a chance to work for them, I recommend it.
