I believe that you will...
It could very well be. For a while on here....Mr. Imperfect and I shared a lot of the same thoughts and outlooks.
At his age I was still in my only marriage...after that...I sure still had that optimism...and did up to a certain point.
and I think he and I were similar in life to where our main goal was to have that special love and share our lives with that woman.
But, there comes a point....where as Clint Eastwood would say...a man has to know his limitations....and after a while if you go thru enough women who had too many issues or for the most part were liars and fakes who just added more scars to the heart.
It can make a person wake up and realize, it was merely a pipe dream....and sure its possible still...however unlikely and you better change that attitude to protect what's left of yourself before you reach that limitation point.
and who knows what would have happened if his wife was still living...they could be divorced by now.
We'll see when he has another ten years under his belt....if he has the same positive outlook or not.
Its usually in their later 50's that men from the older generation finally realize that women are not the image they grew up with and how they really are...in general.
Sure, there's some good ones out there,....but the odds of getting one? and how many losers does a guy have to go thru to find one?
and will he reach his limitation, before that happens?
The young men these days weren't brought up on those fakey images of women...so the shock value is not the same, and they don't take them as seriously as we did.....good for them.
