Ok,, nothing personal just a fact. a Buddhist Retreat is taking over the old hotel next to my house. I'll probably wind up jacking up the big old building anyway ,, so I'm looking around the place 3 acres and their Garden is directly behind a row of 20 foot Tall Cedars that will block the Sun. Sometimes I wonder,,,

So. glad I was out there whacking away at Vines in the middle of the winter, on the back nine property line, well maybe over about 30 feet. all overgrown with privet and Vines. now I have an Un snake friendly environment going on back there, copperheads like this neck of the woods.
besides that the whole place is really coming along finally moved the table saw out of the kitchen. the shop was full of Cull deck framing, 10x14 ,all of it,$70,

Got the weeds all pulled in the greenhouse and got it straightened up this morning...
then i put 2 more fenceposts in along with another section of fencing for a trellis for the rest of the tomato plants and then planted them...
now i'm taking a break and getting ready to make a beer run...

Keep a blacksnake or two around koz
Keeps the mice and rats down
I'm still planting and pulling weeds
About a quarter of the ponds edge is double lined with Rock and stone
A line of stone around the ponds edge then another line a foot and a half or two out filled with dirt,compost and peat moss
Then the same thing to outline the outer edge of the path
Flowers and veggies between each stone line
In between the fruit trees on the inside
And solid on the outside
5 blueberries on the left rear
A few trees spread around the clearing(my house and pond are in a clearing roughly half the size of a football field.. The pond takes up a good chunk of it)
Along with five more fruit trees on the left
A few other mixed gardens I put in last year 
Finally got a couple days of rain with sunshine in between..
Can't wait to see what it looks like in a month or two when its at peak

@Freck -- I had a Budda near my koi pond. Where the upraised hands met in its lap was an area for birdseed to be left. Nearby was an owl to scare the "night varmints" away. Near could find a remedy to keep the coyotes away. They and the possums kept making away with my khakis.
@Koz -- If you are anything like me, sir -- you will always find something to do -- even at your leisure.

i'm paying for all the work i've done since getting the mower...
OUCH...
i found one of my two hummingbird vines eaten off at the base - effectively killing the poor thing... i've been raising it for over 5 years now too... pretty sure it was one of my dogs and i also have a good idea which one - but didn't see it happening so can't go all apeshit on his ass...
my chickens are eating the tomatoes that are forming on my vines too - which means i either just let them or i have to cage them back in the coop or fence the garden again...

Haven't been here in a while this work thing is interfering with my envisioned endeavors.
of course a little earthquake action in the area and a spring pops up , no problems I have to rent a Ditch Witch for a job this week so I'll just add in a few more drains  Come on Mother Nature,, water my whole Farm from underground. I've got one line watering the herb beds now,
and with those extra drain lines Ill feel comfortable putting the deck on, and it's looking good. all the framing lumber is here,
bunch of baby tomatoes and squash blooms,
I've got jacks underneath that old hotel so I've been a little busy the earthquake got it too

All well,
water, spring issues, Believe I will have a cistern,
looks like I got those zucchini that grow twice as big as your arm. I had them a few years ago they came from the same college that I get my spring plants from. just got a dehydrator so I am going to experiment with that and in the fall I will sell them to the hotels and restaurants as decoration for Thanksgiving buffets kitchen will be done so that means I will be making cornucopias for them also. where's the green house damn it

Still waiting on the corn.
Have graveled potatoes, picked green beans, squash, cucucumbers.
The cabbage, cauliflower, and green onions have already been harvested.
Have fried some green tomatoes but still waiting on them to ripen.
Have had 2 watermelons, already.
Most dinners have been fresh from the garden fare since it has been too hot to cook.
