Bunch of socialists! In 1912 Beltrami and Lake County voted SOCIALIST for Pres, Eugene Victor Debs candidate of the SOCIALIST Party.
Has Dayton ever held a job in the private sector? Don't think so, he's a trust fund baby telling the rest of us how to live our lives by higher taxes and more and more and more and MORE and MORE government spending and regulations. They say Minnesota has lost $3,000,000,000 in potential tax money because people and business just vote with their feet and move out! Yet the government needs more and more and more and MORE money for wasteful spending and government regulation in the name of progressivism and communism. It's not like the DFL has a hard time getting elected so the fools (I mean taxpayers) must be buying this foolishness.
MN will vote in a landslide for Killary and may vote for Bernie in record numbers given the opportunity. Didn't TR get about 70% in 1904? I bet Bernie could do better than that, but voters in MN would say that he's still clearly far too conservative.
I think the voters here would gladly PROHIBIT private property and would like the government t own ALL businesses and run them into bankruptcy with their PC stupidity.

Luckily MOST Minnesotans care.
MOST Minnesotans appreciate that we have clean water to drink & clean air to breath & can enjoy those 10,000+ lakes & numerous rivers without fear of dipping our toes in.
MOST Minnesotans care enough to help to provide food for the hungry & shelter for the homeless so that they don't freeze their digits off in a matter of minutes.
MOST Minnesotans are concerned enough that we want all people to have healthcare so they don't have to file bankruptcy (The Donald - 4!!! times!!!) because they "dare" to get sick. (and may I point out - to "dare" to collect "welfare" [the ultimate SIN to most Republicans] that a human being dare ask to collect the money that they have earned - if such an emergency may arise.)
MOST Minnesotans are generous enough to pay their fair share so we can all have a "livable" minimum wage (but we need a little progress there).
MOST Minnesotans say hello & hold doors open & stop too long at a 4 way stops & have very very long good-byes because we genuinely care about our fellow citizens.

Hannity says MN is TIED now. Real Clear Politics switched MN from "leans Killary" too undecided. Still with MN's track record, if Trump carries MN then he wins in a landslide like Ike in 52 and 56 and Tricky D*cky in 72. We only vote Rep in huge landslide years.
I suppose the DFL will dig up Oakland Cemetery and Resurrection and carry the state by a small margin.

Lots of us are just tired of all the damn loop holes in this country for all the wrong people.
Watched a documentary last night about raising the minimum wage. Listened to both sides. I get it. Small business owners are pissed - as they should be! (When I need to hire people to help me I'd never insult them by paying them less than $15/hr! Plus, they usually charge WAY more - depending on what I need done.)
During the documentary I kept on thinking. "DUH?!?" Take away the loopholes for the Trump's & the Walton's & the Mill's of the world.
Raise the damn minimum wage AND give the small business owners the tax breaks (based on profit) that they should be getting so they are able to pass down the wealth. Tax the ultra rich in the way they deserve - since their "employees" have made them the uber rich SOB's that they are.
This solution is so damn simple. Why is the good ol' U.S.A. the only country in the modern world having such a hard time grasping this???

We need more. I seriously think about a dozen.
But it's the money. Who's gonna stop the money? They're all bought & paid for.
Make the entire lot of them do a "Survivor" type of thing - like live on minimum wage!
Winters in Minnesota - on a minimum wage. Summers in (?) Arizona - on a minimum wage.
A car that doesn't run that great. Repair costs.
House that needs work. Unexpected repairs.
Work costs for various items - with no per diem. (meaning a few PB&J's for lunch)
lol.
We'd knock out 1/2 of them in a few weeks.
I don't pay the people who let my dogs out to poop less than $15/hr & all they have to do is stand there & watch them.
What's so sad - the world is laughing at us. I have friends in a few different countries & they all think we've lost our marbles. They all see how it's all about who has the cash.

Back in the 70s the scientists were saying we'd be in the middle on an ice age now because of global cooling. The climate is in a constant state of flux.
I'm already looking forward to that flux that is spring. 111 days!
