Something to SERIOUSLY ponder about such things:
the SERIOUS political manipulators of the world, will always try to take advantage of EVERYONE who comes along. That includes spies, enemies, lovers, and groups like "Anonymous."
It might appear that they are in cahoots with some parts of the government, for a couple of reasons. One, because one part of the government is actually BENEFITING from what they reveal, so they help them remain anonymous; two, because some of what they have been revealing is as disrupting to America's foreign opponents and competitors, as it is for us.
There is actually a lot more subtlety to international machinations and skulduggery than most people realize.

"Anonymous" is a loose and amorphous collection of hackers who began life on imageboards like 4Chan and got more mobilized through things like "Project Chanology" (the campaign against scientology). The 4chan community, particular the /b/tards and newf*gs (their term, not mine), collectively call themselves Anonymous. The name comes from the format of 4chan, where people can post whatever they want without a username, avatar, or identifier. Most of the Anonymous vandalism is not caused by innovative exploits, but mundane and non-technical exploits like denial of service attacks, google hacking, xss, phishing, and sql injection. They operate (hack) in essentially the same manner as the group "black-Hat Hackers".
