I've been known to watch a game and basically pull for the players and not the team so I end up cheering both teams. Sounds kind of blond huh? Or I've entered into a pot and I'm pulling for my numbers. ~ Growing up in Texas and being in a home that believed in the Dallas Cowboys, I always pull for them regardless of how they played in later years. ~ This was a time I really enjoyed watching football; I don't know a lot about other coaches but I always liked and respected him. .........

driver406 Saint Paul, MN 65, joined Oct. 2009	We feel the same way about our hapless Viqueens especially now that Teddy blew out his knee and won't return until training camp, 2017. We should be 500 though especially if we trade for a better QB than Shaun Hill. We were expecting to at least take the division from Packers if Teddy hadn't gotten hurt. He's only getting better, but now he's only getting surgery. He's got a great attitude and he vows to come back. Not this season he won't.

Interesting season for all I’m sure. Headed to visit fiends this weekend only about 1 ½ hours away and will be staying over. I wonder if they will be tuning into any of the games? I kind of hope so. I'm taking some stuff to make a dip in the crock-pot either way I'll be ready! As far as my college team I'm kind of all over the place. My daughter was born at Texas A&M so I feel I'm an honorary Aggie even though I wasn't the one that attended college there. I did do some part-time work there though. My son graduated from Arkansas, a niece from Alburn. Even though I've had relatives graduate from Texas I RARELY pull for them. I'm a bit partial to the agriculture schools. Will ya’ll be tuning into the games today and which one will you be watching or will you be flipping through the channels trying to check them all out???

driver406 Saint Paul, MN 65, joined Oct. 2009	You bet! The Viqueens have ALREADY lost their starting QB for the season so we had to get another one from the Beagles. Our backup can't throw more than 20 yards and he's as mobile as a lamp post! His backup has been hurt all preseason, but he's in good enough shape to run to the bank to cash his paycheck and HIS backup was cut but might be signed to the taxi squad! None the less the season hasn't really started yet so we still have some optimism until cruel reality rears it's ugly head.

Overtime Rules for NFL Preseason and Regular Season At the end of regulation, the referee will toss a coin to determine which team will possess the ball first in overtime. The visiting team captain will call the toss. No more than one 15-minute period will follow a three-minute intermission. Each team must possess, or have the opportunity to possess, the ball. Sudden death play — where the game ends on any score (safety, field goal or touchdown) — continues until a winner is determined. Each team gets two timeouts. It would have been 37 from a punt return touchdown but the running back did some kind of "move" as he was stepping into the end-zone and by doing this little back toss of the football ... aka the ball wasn't over the line before he did this !!!!!!!! So 74 yard kickoff return touchdown was overturned. I dunno what he was thinking maybe something like "I'm over the line and in your face tosses the ball back"??????
