Has anyone read the Terms of Service recently?
Perhaps it is all that tracking software they are now using. Here is one.
http://www.ip2location.com to determine a users location. If you are using cable internet it will have you nailed down pretty close.
Then there is the Web Beacons. (I don't mean cookies) they are using to track the users.
I'm sure all that is overloading the old 486 cpu they are still using!

Right. Tracking software doesn't slow down a website. I would suspect either a server issue, simple maintenance, or huge amounts of web traffic much more than anything else. Bandwidth anyone?

Tragic, you sure did age rather quickly. From 50ish to 97 in a matter of weeks.

I’ve experienced the same problem OP. At one point it got so slow it was no longer tenable, and not having time to fool it, I signed out. Haven’t tried to send a message recently, but getting into and out of threads seems to take forever. Seems to be better now. I am glad to know I am not the only one experiencing that problem.
In some cases, after taking a long time to go to a thread but failing, it gave a message that it could not find the thread, or that the thread did not exist, or that the request could not be met because it had an invalid object code, or whatever. But when I tried it again, the thread came up. So I suspected they were either doing maintenance on the DH program or else malware was on the DH program. But just the other day, when it failed to come up with a thread after a long delay it gave me the message: “invalid verb”. But when I tried it again, it gave me the thread. Now that was troubling, it was a clue to me that DH may be in the process of installing a program that automatically censors posts by looking for politically incorrect code words in the post (some other sites are known to be installing such software). YouTube also seems to be installing censorship in its site, and they are losing viewers because of it, and so is Twitter loving users.
The other day, my browser took a long time trying to bring up DH after clicking on the DH site button, then my Browser gave me a message that it could not find the site requested. But when I tried it again, the site came up. I suspected DH was being affected by malware. I already knew there was malware in the DH signup program that redirected people trying to sign up with DH to other dating sites that charge for services and without their knowledge that they had been redirected, they though they had gone to the DH site (Some internet browsers have a feature that automatically alerts you when you are being redirected, but many people don’t know that feature is there, I have that feature turned on so I know if and when I am being redirected. In the case of my browser not being able to find the DH site by clicking the DH button, there was no redirect signal, so I don't know exactly what to make of that.)
Either something peculiar is going in DH programming or they have malware. That's what I think. They could also be trying to meet Federal government requests, made to various websites, to track users so the government can more easily spy on them.

Krebs wrote about the pair last week after he received a copy of vDOS’s database earlier this summer. In his article, he alleged that the outfit was responsible for "majority of the DDoS attacks clogging up the Internet over the past few years." The pair allegedly helped to coordinate over 277 million seconds worth of attack time between April and July 2016. Shortly after posting the report, Krebs' own site came under a major DDoS attack.
Uncovering the identity of the pair was not difficult. The service prohibited attacks against websites originating from Israel, while their customer service feature on their website would ping the site’s administrators directly with a text message, including the two owners. Additionally, the site’s email domain was directly registered to one of the owners.
It’s unclear what will happen next for the business, which went offline on Friday. Its owners are currently under house arrest in Israel

I had issues too, in the blogs, had to repost 4 times. Blocked became unblocked, pinwheel spinning to change threads. Now seems fine.
I sat here and rebooted everything, it is their server because no other website giving me trouble.
