MLB will be difficult to measure-with steroids and all. I would go Bagwell, Pudge, and one of my underappreciated favorites-Edgar Martinez. NFL-all finalists will eventually make it. This year I'd go L.T.,T.O.,Warner, Jason Taylor, and Alan Fanica.

for the NFL I think T. O. is a no brainer.
AS for MLB I like Pudge and Trevor Hoffman. I can't vote for a DH player.

You didn't have to be a fan of Trevor Hoffman's team to be a fan of Trevor Hoffman. He will get in. I know many have opinions on the D.H. thing. But Edgar was one of the best pure American League hitters of the 90's. And being with one team a entire career helps. He'll probably get in,but it will be by veterans committee 10 years down the line.

Silly, Since all of the NFL Hall finalists were so good I've got to think more on this. I agree with you that TO should definitely get in since attitude doesn't matter.

he skipped a playoff game with a bad toe while his QB played with a major knee injury.
Look at how well TO played in a playoff game with a broken leg while his QB was taking a knee while throwing up!

this was his last year on the ballot. He was a admitted user of uppers during his career.
He admitted that he had the substance in his pants pockets during games.
But with Bagwell getting in, Bonds and Clemens are soon to follow.

Yep, and A-Rod will probably be there one day too which is a disgrace to baseball.

Tim Raines, to me-was a helluva player. Was a solid hitter, with a prodomitaly bad team. In the decade of the 80's,probably the 3rd best base stealer (Ricky Henderson and Vince Coleman). But I just didn't see HOF'er. I am however happy for him. Always seemed like a class act.

As far as steroids in baseball. It is morally and ethically wrong. On the other hand, it is a God giving talent to be able to pick up on a variety of pitches from any given pitcher on any given day. And make a solid connection with the baseball on a consistent basis. Does steroids slow a pitch down to a batters eye? I'm not trying to take a side. The whole situation sucks!

bsjr, I don't understand all of these performance enhancing drugs either but it's a good thing that alcohol wasn't banned in Babe Ruth's days because he hit a lot of home runs drunk.
