I'm already familiar with all the guff coming from conservatives like (David Porter) who are out to either remove or force each state to oversee their own EPA management. That Obama flat out set aside appropriations via "fines or fee's" in support of some liberal agenda is nothing but another "but but, Obama .. but, the Constitution" round of clap trap. Fact is, the EPA creates billions of dollars of business for the economy each year. Private contractors get the job of building the water and wastewater systems cities need. Many private contractors are also hired directly by EPA to support some of its initiatives. Also at stake are hundreds of thousands of jobs in the private sector such as fisheries and tourism, which if lost would place a huge blow to the economy. Small regulations or regulations on small business are the most significant. If cut, tremendous progress would be undone to an agency that simply doesn't operate without considerable industry and State input.

Much of the hoopla regarding overreach is, in my opinion, way overblown. The Agency is a bureaucracy that is sometimes inefficient and unfriendly like any other bureaucracy, but without EPA, it is hard to imagine how maintaining a healthy environment for all of us will be carefully overseen.""

It would be a first in history for a new President to hold the old Presidents feet to the fire once out of office.
