If you look back at things like cars, or any other product, you can easily see that the more CUSTOMERS there are, the cheaper that car can be, and still make a sufficient profit for the manufacturer.

That's how capitalism actually works. If you ONLY have a few patients, then each one would have to pay a vastly larger share of the cost of the testing, the production of medicine, and so on.

The reason why capitalism led to the end of the days when ONLY the vastly wealthy few had any transportation, or decent clothing and so on, was because it led to merchants having lots and lots of CUSTOMERS.

Another thing you are ignoring entirely, is that the United States Businesses are all competing with foreign industrial states who do NOT burden their business people or working people with medical care costs.

Since the ACA was adopted, many mid state white southerners working low paying jobs gained coverage at low cost or at no cost, allowing many of them the chance to visit physicians or go in for check-ups without fear of bankruptcy for the first time in their lives. And while there is some justification for b*tching about the ACA, its rural (white) America that has been the most dependent on public insurance, relying on medicaid or other public insurance to cover their most basic healthcare needs. Fact is, many of these people rallied around Trump’s "vague plans" to ease their economic issues, only to now quite possibly have that realization ripped apart once again by leaving them without healthcare coverage.
