This is the unspoken question of these websites. They can be called
dating, romance, matchmaking, or even the specific ones for people
with from health problems to 6 toes [ yes on each foot ] 
I try to explain myself, but it many times is over read or just not
read at all.
To me it is totally logical. Compatibility + Communication + Compromise.
The social engineers have sold us on a divide and conquer strategy with the
results in over 60 % divorce rate....Remember the illogic of " find someone
with less in common then you will not become bored because you can learn to
do more activities !!!. Like your LTR was supposed to be a cruise on the Love
Boat and they had an activity coordinator ! This sets in and the couple one day
wakes up to see a stranger across from them eating Hot Quaker Oatmeal with the
extra colon friendly High Fiber  This is a day of discovery for sure !
The formula for failure we were exposed to below:
Chemistry = Image Infatuation + High School Peer & Relative Pressure = failed LTR.
The reality of our experiences shows us otherwise , below:
Chemistry= Communication + Compatibility + Compromise = Usually LTR.
Definitions :
Communication = both written & oral..[ think,write,share,etc]before oral. Oral chat
in our learned behavior many times is like a game to win ,compete, not with a LTR.
Compatibility = 2 ways to ruin a LTR...Financial and Libido needs. Both can be topics
on their own..
Compromise = Resist the social engineering sink holes of TMI.[ there is never too much
information. Info builds Truth & Honesty builds TRUST = building blocks of LTR.
RESIST the Comfort Zones & Deal Breakers [ just selfish, self centered, and a reverse
way to control your partner ] when they catch on then the "House of Cards" no longer
is the fun and frolic of " strip poker " if you get my drift.!!
We are two humans and not corporations with attorneys and joint ventures, etc !!
I hope this topic becomes expanded and becomes as important as the topic of what women
are looking for in men..

Hi , yes I am a man , I tell the truth , 60 plus years old , just wondering what to do with the last part of my life. I know I do not want to go on cruise ships , travel to Europe or third world places , my plans were changed when Darlene had three strokes , she will pass soon , she lives in northern California now , she retired early , went back home were she grew up in northern CA. , since then her dad, mom, sister, step dad have passed on , she went back home but not a happy ending , well she did have some good times with her family up north,, when she was married she and JOE raised the family here in southern Ca. , she did have like five good years before her stroke with her family up north , so you can make plans but things happen .

My friend and this woman's husband began an affair. That was 11 years ago. His wife is still living but she did divorce him after their kids found out what was going on.

For all the decent and mentally sound members of this site I thank you for your respect and decency in your posts. I can really say that I've developed an attitude because of the trash that's written in postings of Candid Camera. Just got my dumb azz dumped again because i "Put her on a pedestal and was too romantic"...
She had two bad marriages.... one to a gambler and one to a drunk
Several long term deals that went sour..... never was truly romanced.....
Last one was 7 years long and he didn't kiss her other than a brotherly peck on the cheek.....
never got flowers.....
My parents taught me to carry the utmost respect for women and when you are in a relationship, treat her like a queen; like she REALLY is the most important girl in the world.

I shared the household duties with my late wife.....
She did more of the chores because she was home more and I worked a ton of overtime or was often traveling for the job. But I could run a wash machine, vacuum, stove, dishwasher quite well. Doing a share of the household work gave us more time together and more time to go have fun doing things out of the house. The knowledge served me very well when she died. Kids didn't have to worry about me because I knew how to keep a house.
Marriage and long term relationships today are supposed to be an equal opportunity situation. No one owns any of the chores. Share and share alike. I think if my Dad or my Father-in-law would have helped their wives, maybe their marriages would have been happier.
I would give anything to have a loving, sharing relationship again. I miss it so badly. After 7 years, I am believing it will never happen again..... The memories of days past no longer keep me warm at night..... no longer fill the aching void that permeates my heart.....
If you are in a relationship with a good woman that you love, share life's chores with her. Not just the good times. Scrubbing floors and washing clothes is not fun, especially in your senior years. Lord knows, I would die to be able to scrub a floor with a gal that I loved.

Marriage and long term relationships today are supposed to be an equal opportunity situation. No one owns any of the chores. Share and share alike. I think if my Dad or my Father-in-law would have helped their wives, maybe their marriages would have been happier.
I would give anything to have a loving, sharing relationship again. I miss it so badly. After 7 years, I am believing it will never happen again..... The memories of days past no longer keep me warm at night..... no longer fill the aching void that permeates my heart.....
If you are in a relationship with a good woman that you love, share life's chores with her. Not just the good times. Scrubbing floors and washing clothes is not fun, especially in your senior years. Lord knows, I would die to be able to scrub a floor with a gal that I loved.
Just to let you know..I get what you are trying to say.
Many, (not all) will never get this..

It is really true, Cavie. Unconditional love is what Bub is referring to.
I had that kind of relationship, too.
They are quite rare, I assure you, but they do exist.
