Friend of mine has a 69 Firebird really soupped up. Went fast for sure, but got terrible mileage because of it. I'd just like something very fuel efficient if I stopped driving courier. If they make us all use driverless cars then I'll walk or take the train, bus. No way I'm buying a driverless car.

A car is a reflection of one's charater I believe. It's always open to interpretation though. So...

My everyday vehicle would be a military Hummer fix up with what I want in it. Civilian Hummers don't have the ground clearance the military ones have.

My play car would be one of those old Mob cars like the 1950 Mercury Sylvester Stallone had in Cobra. A car from the 30's to the 50's, very roomy, had small windows and modified with modern interior.

My classy car would be a stretch Rolls Royce. A stretch Excalibur or Duesenberg.

For traveling I'd have a modified party bus with reclining captain chairs, tables with cup holders, DVD player for the 42" flat screen and surround sound.

My mom bought herself an American muscle car once. Then gas shot from under a buck to four bucks a gallon in short order, and that was it for muscle. We couldn't afford to drive it anymore.

Wonderful thing to drive in a straight line, great in the interstates, but a turning radius like an aircraft carrier.

I absolutely love my Dodge Charger on 24's. I love big muscle cars. Taking charge of big things is fun.

I hate how they made the newer chargers smaller.

Hmm, well, I used to have a 1992 Chevrolet Camaro 25th Anniversary package, as a well as a 1980 Chevrolet Malibu Coupe.

I'll take either of those over a Honda V-Tec anyday of the week.

V-Tec: All of the "lag", with none of the boost.

Why Imports Suck:

US: Installing an 8¾" rear end, after breaking into the low 10s
THEM: Never realizing that their factory-built 4 cylinder will continue to snap half-shafts forever

US: Installing a Boost Gauge on a blown engine. Nitrous gauge on a squeezed engine.
THEM: Installing BOTH gauges on a naturally-aspirated engine.

US: Sideways into 3rd gear.
THEM: Sideway to avoid high-centering a speed bump.

US: 600hp on 92-octane pump gas.
THEM: 300hp on 110-octane, $12/gallon race fuel.

US: Chevy Old-Tech pushrod engine with 425hp
THEM: State-of-the-Art Honda DOHC V-Tec with 160hp

US: 500 lbs-ft. of torque @ 3,500rpm
THEM: 50 lbs-ft. of torque @ 35,000rpm

US: Installing 17" rims to hide trick brakes and suspension.
THEM: Swapping the stock 14" rims for 20s, DESPITE STOCK brakes and suspension.

US: Polishing the tail lamp lens for a bright red glare.
THEM: Installing clear tail lamps to bait cops.

US: Installing dual Flowmaster 2¾" exhaust.
THEM: STOCK pee-shooter exhaust with a 5" tip.

US: Installing a Hurst performance shift kit for shorter throws.
THEM: Installing a shift kit for the lighted knob.

US: A bumpy ride from a lopey cam.
THEM: A bumpy ride from booming bass.....

I think we know which way I am leaning here...

I would be happy to exchange my Miata for the silver corvette in this picture.

A choice in vehicle is a reflection of one's character so I have a few...

My everyday vehicle would be the military Hummer with modified interior. Bcuz they have more ground clearance than the civilian ones. And I'm getting for my Bday next Aug.

My highway traveling vehicle would be a modified party bus with reclining captain chairs, tables with cup holder, DVD player for the 48" flat screen and surround sound complete with driver.

My fun car would be one of those old Mob cars. Like the 1950 Mercury like Sylvester Stallone had in Cobra!

My classy car would be a stretch Rolls Royce, stretch Excalibur or a stretch Duesenberg. Now that's classy.
