I installed exterior flood lights on my daughter's garage yesterday. It turned out nice with good coverage of her yard and not into her neighbor's yard. I installed a combination switch/GFCI outlet on the exterior dividing wall between the two garage doors so you don't even need to go into the garage to turn the lights on. I installed 2 90 watt equivalent LED bulbs that are supposed to last at least 10 years and cost pennies to run.
It should be great for BBQ's and working on the car or a project in the evening and you can even plug in a drop light and/or a radio.

The point of this in this thread is that I had to go up and down a ladder all day long and the job took much longer than it would have when I was younger. I wouldn't be aching so much when I was younger either. Then again, I might not have had the patience when I was younger to make it turn out as nice as it did.

I find myself hoping my daughter thinks about me after I've passed when she utilizes some of the things I've done to her home. Maybe she say a silent "Thanks, Dad." when she flicks that switch and gets light where there once was none after I'm gone.
