Muslim groups in Malaysia and Indonesia have called for a boycott of Starbucks because of the coffee chain's support for LGBT rights.
Malaysian group Perkasa, which supports a hard-line form of Islam and nationalism, this week called on its more than 500,000 members to stay away from Starbucks coffee shops. This week and last, leaders of Indonesia's second largestmainstream Muslim group, Muhammadiyah, with an estimated 29 million members, denounced the chain.
The groups were apparently reacting to comments made several years ago by former CEO Howard Schultz in support of gay rights that drew renewed attention amid an increasingly anti-LGBT climate in both of the predominantly Muslim countries.
Perkasa said in a statement that the Malaysian government should revoke the trading license given to Starbucks and other companies such as Microsoft and Apple that support LGBT rights and same-sex marriage.
Amini Amir Abdullah, who heads Perkasa's Islamic affairs bureau, said Muslims should stay away from Starbucks because its pro-gay rights policy is against Islam and Malaysia's constitution.
Sodomy is illegal in Malaysia and punishable by up to 20 years in prison. Homosexuality is not illegal in Indonesia, the world's most populous Muslim nation, but a case before the Constitutional Court is seeking to criminalize gay sex.
Gavin Bowring, a Malaysia analyst at risk consulting company Eurasia Group, said the boycott was unlikely to amount to much but reflected "a growing tendency toward strict adherence to Islamic principles."

White House Gender Pay Gap Horror - People Who Do Different Jobs Get Paid Differently

CNN , after that most amusing video of being wrestled by Donald Trump, has disclosed that the gender pay gap in the White House is higher than the gender pay gap in America as a whole. The problem with this is that it tells us absolutely nothing about whether the White House is actually paying men more than women for the same job, the same, or even less. For that isn't what is being measured in the slightest--what is being measured is that people doing different jobs get paid different amounts of money. Something which I'm sure will come as a shock to all of us.
But, you know, this confusion over the gender pay gap is just too convenient for some people:
Women working in the White House earn an average salary of 80 cents for every dollar paid to their male colleagues, a CNN analysis found.
That's a gender pay gap wider than the national average of 82 cents on the dollar, according to the Labor Department.
What horrors, what horrors. There will be cries of gender discrimination though out the land. And then we get to the reason why:
The disparity is primarily due to more women filling lower-ranking jobs.
This is rather the reason for the gender pay gap in the country as a whole as well. For when we correct for age, experience, qualifications and all of the rest of it we find that the actual gender pay gap shrinks to near nothing. We also do not find that men and women doing the same job get paid different amounts of money--on the logical grounds that that has been illegal for some decades now. What we do find is that men and women, enough of them at least to move the averages, do different jobs. Further, we're in a market economy so different jobs attract different rates of pay.
The source information is here from the White House. We're all entirely at liberty to go and note that the staff assistant and the press assistant get paid less than the special assistant to the President. Given the way job titles work we wouldn't be surprised by this at all. The finding is simply that the distribution of men and women over this spread of jobs is uneven.
The amount might be different today but the same gap has near always been there:
Analysis of the 2016 annual report by the American Institute think-tank employed the same methodology and found that women earned 10.75% less than men during Barack Obama's final year in the White House.
Another analysis of the same information comes to much the same conclusion:
The analysis by Roll Call also showed there are more male employees in the White House than women — approximately 200 men as compared to 174 women.
The annual report to Congress on White House office personnel, released Friday, showed women earned an average of $84,500 a year as compared to men who earned $105,000. According to the statistics, women, on an average, earned about $20,995 less compared to men.
The report also adds that gender pay gap among the White House employees has barely changed throughout the past three presidential administrations.
Those with what seem to be comparable jobs, comparable levels of responsibility, get about the same amount of money, whether male or female. The disparity over the average between male and female is coming from the jobs that people are doing. We would obviously see such a disparity by the age of the people doing the various jobs and we'd immediately understand why, too. Those who are older are likely to be doing more senior jobs which pay more. This is also the reason for the gross gender pay gap across the economy too. Men and women, enough of them at least, do slightly different jobs and thus get paid different amounts of money. Until that changes the pay gap will be with us.

The term “radical Muslim” is actually a misnomer for “practicing Muslim”. But there is something happening in Muslim countries around the globe even as I write, and it is not being reported by the Major News Media. Our Lord is appearing in glory to various Muslims and asking them why they are killing his people. This catches them by surprise, disorienting them, making them suddenly realize that their Muslim god is waging war against the true God. And many of these Muslims are converting to Christianity as a result of these apparitions, causing Christianity to become a rapidly growing religion in Muslim lands. If you are a Christian, you may have heard the saying from the days of the Great Roman Persecution: “The blood of Martyrs is the seed of Christianity”. By their martyrdom, Christians obtain graces from God for the conversion of others. This famously occurred during the days of the Great Roman Persecution in early centuries of Christianity, when becoming a Christian meant almost certain death, and it is occurring again, right now, even as I write, in Muslim lands.
Muslim leaders intend to force the whole world to become Muslim and rule by Sharia law. They have said so many times, which, of course, it incompatible with Western civilization and with the American Constitution. So it is treason to bring these people into our nation as refugees. But that is the intent, to destroy Christianity and the heart and soul of Western civilization.
Now back to Liberals. Liberals, in their disorientation, believe that homosexuals who complain about being thrown off buildings by Muslims are Islamaphobic, that women who complain about being beaten to death by their Muslim husbands are Islamaphobic, and that Christians who complain about being beheaded by Muslims are Islamaphobic. After all, Muslims who do these things are just practicing their religion by doing what their revered demon god Allah commanded them to do. Right Liberals? I can hear the gears of your brain grinding together even as I write.
Liberals, in their disorientation, also believe that all Muslims are good, including those who are practicing their religion by murdering non-Muslims. Right Liberals?
