Thanks to a couple of levee's and Bush's lack of response you now want to flap your mouth about preparedness? Seems to me the Bush White House tried to deflect blame from FEMA's inadequate response to Katrina by blaming the Democratic governor and the mayor for not having an evacuation plan. Problem is, Louisiana has had Republican governors who also never made evacuation plans. Besides, New Orleans is a major port serving all of the United States, not just Louisiana. For reasons of national security, FEMA should have been responsible for preparing an evacuation plan for the greater New Orleans area. But then, that would require that the head of FEMA have experience with natural disasters and not come to FEMA from a career in public relations for the Arabian horse industry.
