She clearly has mental problems. I don't like pets in the house at all. It makes the house stink. I have 2 cats but they live outside. They climb trees, catch mice, and sleep in the barn.

Last year I did a service for a lady that a real bad case of roaches,when I was spraying her kitchen area and went to move the kitchen stove there was a mummified cat....now I know what else the damn roaches we're feeding on..

In my early 20's I worked for an alarm company and one hot summer day I got sent to an older woman's house to do routine maintenance. There was a log of who had been there and what they had done inside the control panel. Almost every tech had noted how disgusting the house was (to put it politely). She must have had a dozen or more cats and you could hardly breathe in the place it reeked so bad.

I like cats. The are pretty independent, and if you take off for a day or two they don't chew up your new boots. (like one of my former dogs did ). Actually I love animals, wild and domestic.
Unfortunately some people collect pets because they are hoarders. It's just their hoarding of choice.

Mr Beef-O Puss has the run of the house. At night, he sleeps on the bed with me. If he went outside, he'd get lost. Also there are some mean doggies in the hood.

Yes, you are right that lady is a hoarder. She probably hoarded a lot of other stuff too. It's a form of mental illness and they rarely change.

Your state needs to get a hobby if they are making laws up about how many cats you can have.

I doubt that the actual number of cats was the problem. I would think the problem would have been more along the lines of health codes, sanitation, odor or sanity.

Even then, getting arrested is unusual, evicted sure...arrested..probably more going on like assaulting the people evicting her...At least I'd hope a person doesn't get arrested and thrown in jail for having cat shit on the carpet.
