no
it's shorter to the east part of MO than to KC. I was looking at Ste Genevieve area.
But I need to go to KC anyway, been a while. Just not good timing right now

My sunoculars came in the mail today. $30 from Amazon and two day shipping. The sun will appear 6x larger but still be safe to observe. You should get some rainy!
And I'm not in the zone of totality. But an hour's drive will put me there. So I'm a goin!

I guess we have an 82% of seeing it IF it stays clear. The weather guy (Who's never been wrong of course) says it's starting to not look so good up here. Good luck to the rest of you.

I would have bought a #8 with regular drink in that case, jer. You know just to go with it.

Haven't seen the glasses for sale anywhere. It happens on my lunch hour so I'll just step outside and look, assuming I get some glasses first. I think it's 75% totality here.

I got a piece of solar film from Amazon for camera/binoculars, and 3 pairs of glasses from toys r us, coming tomorrow.
The only places I've found that won't be cloudy is Boise Idaho and Casper Wyoming, too far to drive.

Franklin KY experienced 2:27 of total eclipse of the sun by the moon & I watched in awe @ the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. The pearls of light from the corona of the sun that streamed into aurora borealla effects were breath taking! I saw stars (well 2 planets & and the dog star) in the sky as if it were midnight (& yes it was dark). The total eclipse zone was amazing both because of Mother Nature & the uniting of people in a happy fun event full of love
& thanks to a friend I got my glasses!
