Well, for fashion, I try to be fashionable to a point. Nothing too tight or too clingy, nothing sleeveless unless I am working outside or maybe to a barbeque, no low rider jeans, some cleavage, but not too much, and nothing that says "frumpy old fat lady", lol. No Polyester pants or sweats, ever, and I don't own a mumu. I do capris rather than shorts most of the time in the summer. I try to keep my hair neat, wear some makeup and accessories, dress up a bit when I can because that makes me feel pretty and confident. I am just myself, and I am happy with myself as a human being, just wish I was a smaller human being. But making an effort to look as good as I can really helps my confidence. Finding and keeping Mr Right? I have no idea, still working on that.

I agree with most of your fashion. I have typically been a conversative dresser even when I was smaller. It actually took getting a divorce and going to New York before I began to purchase clothing that showed anything lol. I just learned about BBW/BBM interests last summer. I was actually shocked to learn of it. When you get your hair done and your finger nails and toes the beauty will magnify because your confidence will go up. I change my hair a lot because I enjoy discovering different sides of me fun to conservative. I don't date often so I dont have a lot of experience to tell there. I think one way that I at least keep a good friend from the date is that I try to listen and show support

Who want want to date a fat person? They do not care enough to take care of themself so why would they take care of a person in a dating relationship?

Obviously, I am fat, but why would that make me (or any other fat person) any less able to "take care of a person in a dating relationship"? I am, and know, many fat people who are just genuine, positive, and loving people in general. It seems to me like the judgmental, callous, and cold people would have far less to bring to a dating relationship than another who just happens to be fat. If I had to choose between the two, I'd stay fat, and I HATE being fat. (Working on that, but that's a different issue)

The OP started a very respectful thread, and it sure would be nice if the responses could be in kind.

People are overweight for various reasons, and yes some of us do take care of ourselves. I run a couple of times a week and try to keep my hair neat, nails polished and make up on. but when it is all said and done i am still fat. I think it's just simple genetics getting in the way. As much as people knock us fat folks, we are actually the ones chosen to carry on the race should there be a famine or other catastrophe where our food supply is threatened. SO, biologically, we are superior and would outlive the skinny folks. Does give you a new respect for fatties, doesn't it?

lmao i love the whole carrying on the race thing! its true! when some super skinny a** person is starving to death, they look to the "fatty" for assistance reguardless to how proud they are of being single!!! the funny thing is i have way more confidence than my skinty friends, they ask me for makeup tips, relationship advice (cos the jerks and douches flock to them first and that leaves the ones with real brains to us "fattys" lol), and fashion advice. i carry my fat self in a very confident manner adn can walk in heels better that you skinty women! besides, dont you skinny women pay for the butts and boobs that we have for free???

Actually, unless you've been diagnosed with some type of thyroid disorder and/or some other type of disorder impairing your body to efficiently metabolise food then everyone is on a level playing field when it comes to being over weight. However, what one person does to lose weight might not work for another person....also, you can eat a particular food item, and your body can react differently possibly adding a pound or two. Someone else can eat the same thing and it may not have an impact at all.

I think in the majority of cases, being over weight IS NOT hereditary, but it's a lifestyle issue that includes not only food....but also one's stress level, sleep patterns, etc. Actually I would bet that for most people emotional and mental issues cause more weight gain than food.

...and fyi, being over weight does not make you biologically superior to skinny people (LOL!! It was a funny statement though)....and actually you look at most studies, overweight people are at a higher risk of heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and other life threatening illnesses.

Well, in your case you have a few things going for you right off the bat. A pretty face and it looks like great pair of mammary glands.

Well, so far I have lost over 263 pounds. I don't like FAT men. I don't want to date or have sex with an over weight man.
I just don't think its attractive. I think a man with a 6-pack is about the sexiest thing ever.
Why would I expect someone to think differently about me?

I now take care of myself. I eat right and exercise everyday.

Its taken me 3 years to lost 263 pounds. I have 25 more to go.

I can't imagine someone who was 263lbs overweight would not want to be respected and loved from the inside out. Everyone has their preferences but you must realize how hypocritical you sound. By the way I think a six pack is sexy too but I also love to lay in a nice firm chest or be held by a strong pair of arms. And a few of my ex's have been tall and lean. I would never limit myself by being so critical.
