I'm hearing impaired but it's never bothered the men I've dated. I wear hearing aids in both ears and with them, I hear normal. I even play the cello and piano so nothing gets me down.
I also have bad knees. Had surgery three years ago. I need another one. My tendons are on the bone wrong.
I still ski and hike and head to the gym as much as I can. Some days the pain is too much though.

Mine is a rare Neuro disease called (sp) Transverse Myolitis Very simular to MS. Basically the Mylin (outer coating of the spinal cord is deteriorating. No cure, Don't know why it starts some people only have it for a few weeks others of us have the degenerative type and it varies from person to person at what level you get from it. Oh yeah I also suffer from CDO --Thats like OCD but it's in alphabetical order like it's supposed to be.
So, its not MS, I HAVE ms since 2003 i know somewhat what your going through. do you still work, i don't couldnt was a RN, the meds put me on could not work no more... trying to figure out life now....became very anti social.

Don't be to hard on the person I used to be a RN, you can get herpes, via, mouth, kissing, toothbrushes, and also condums are not safe, so there is no stupidity here. there is no 100% covage, i have had doctors tell me even vaginal ect can be transmitted this way if they touch there hands not washed on these objects. and the person does not no it. its invisable.

I know how you feel Gap1971. It's not easy getting ppl to believe how hard it is to live with limited hearing. Even while wearing hearing aids..you still have difficulties hearing because of feedback. I also suffer from Anxiety Attacks.

First off...you should NEVER be lonely. You are too sweet and handsome (yes I checked out your profile).
Next, I know how bad the back can screw up your life. I'm a Paramedic who can't practice any more becuz of my back and a serious depression I had that went on for three years. Looking back now, I think it was my early change of life. But I was diagnosed with a depressive disorder.
Lastly, I like to think that people with disabilities are not 'handicapped', but rather 'handicapable.'

I understand I was a practicing alcoholic clean & sober for little under 5 years better at things but have my moments I am not a doctor but have learned from myself & doctors theres mood swings bad feelings in certain situations that triger me to be brutally honest today doing much better knowing is half the battle treat yourself to knowledge go see doctor ask questions get diagnosted sorry bad spelling for me as long as I do not act on my feelings I will be ok I fight with unjustified & justified anger sometimes people triger me to be angry very angry I am to a point looking for a solution scitzofreinic again sorry for spelling I hope you find solution soon GOD BLESS.

Bipolar disorder type 2, anxiety, insomnia, chronic crippling migraines, arthritis in my back
I am VERY surprised that you are having such a hard time getting SSI...I am bipolar and filed as such in January and by March I had it...back to when it began. Have you had a psychiatrist diagnose you and document it? If you have a case worker in a counseling center or anything like that...they can go with you to the SS office. You WILL get it if the bipolar disorder keeps you from working and living a normal life. Mental health problems almost ALWAYS get a pass for disability. Try going that route. Good luck!
