Ps- usually when I hear a younger girl such as yourself describe herself as independent I have to laugh, because independent doesn't mean your housing , your food, and your baby is being paid for by the government, in turn the people paying taxes!!
To clarify on this... no I receive no government help what so ever. I have a full time job that allows me to pay for my own housing, food, transportation, and baby thank you very much!

Whoever says 'not at all' is full of shit.... Total deal breaker if the guy wants to be serious in something long real term
I know of a few men who met pregnant women, married them, and raised the children as if he had provided the dna. Very happy and long marriages, too.
I think it doesn't always matter when it is you meet the person you love, so while I wouldn't advocate seriously searching right now, don't ignore who is out there just because you're pregnant.

I was in the same situation 3 mons ago..not lookin for daddy for my unborn but someone to keep me some company.... And it wasn't a deal breaker. I actually found the coolest dudes on here. Even after the birth he was around.....homegirl, there's a guy out there that will love u and accept what life has brought ur way, regardless. So hang in there. I know how it feels to have life inside u and u wanting to have a guy around for you... Most importantly enjoy these moments...baby mommy!

OP how long were you with this guy before you got pregnant? It seems it might have been a short time... I can imagine you being with someone for great amount of time that wouldjust get up and leave after finding out your pregnant. I would think they would be elated.   It happens all the time.

I don't understand the whole dating while pregnant thing. But maybe that's because I have two children and know how much time, effort and energy is involved with it.
I'm personally of the belief that now is not the time for op to be dating and her focus and attention should be on her baby right now and ensuring that she's prepared to be the best possible parent she can.

I was with someone when they were twomnths preggo and I was with her on and off for 5 years one day she just decided to leave after me n her raising her kid together for five year! She left me for another guy all because she couldn't stick it out she said she wasn't happy! If I was you I would date and all but under any circumstances don't move in together no matter how much it seems to be love bcuz I have to live everyday knowing the little girl and her will not be in my life again. She brain washed that lil girl that called me daddy that I don't exsist. So just date. It really hurts both of you if you get serious she knows that she loves me but won't text call or email me anymore. Yet she is friends on fb with my ma and sis. I talked to her best friend one day she hit me up and said that d is loosing elizabeth to a foster family and she wanted me to help. I tried to help her without giving her money in every possible way bcuz she was going to trap house to trap house. So last but not least I told her that I would not pay for her cell phone bill and she hasn't talked to me since. I still pray that they are both ok. But ill neva know
