The fact that I'm a certified IBM AIX specialist, extremely fluent in Unix, AIX performance/tuning, building vio servers/lpars, and now modifying Android apps for mulit-view, means only one thing, the money is good.

I agree with OP. Computer guys are always nice. I love technology so it's fun to talk to others with the same interest.

Truthfully, just started getting into computers a couple of years ago and have been fascinated by computer science ever since and the nature of computers, but it's nice to have women to have extensive knowledge on it as well. I personally plan on working within an IT Accounting Department within a firm. The money is good, but it's also computers and accounting which i love even more......gamer

Yes!!! Lost my laptop that had over 72 hours of Skyrim on it and tons of old roms and emulators (all of which i already own and just wanted digital backups of). That was a sad day for all of nerd- dom.
Bt- dubs, I should probably make another thread, I see alot of guys talking about certs.... how do i find/ vet a program that will help me pass the msce?

Ok...well, I love hardware ---- I'm a big AMD advocate, especially with the release of their
APUs a few years back....that's innovation at it's finest. Performance for a decent price. As far as operating systems, I love Linux Mint, which is an Ubuntu build. Very similar to windows as far as the GUI, but much more powerful and less of a strain on system resources.

I hate computers too but it keeps the kids in shoes. Only have a Security+ and Oracle certification. Manage a few hundred IBM & Sun blades. A few NetApp clusters. Maybe a petabyte worth. Some Oracle, SQL Server and MySQL databases. Dont do networking but do all of the disaster recovery stuff. All in a days work.....
