People i love haiku and so do many of you but after the first 5 threads i'm asked to do another but i don't appreciate a turtle like response when posting except for the few that have valid reasons when they have not posted in a while while i don't like having to bump my own thread or maybe i have to hear about that should i ...everyone can see my examples below in bold type i post once i begin every new haiku thread, plus we all did haiku in HS which IMO offers us all a chance to post a haiku which unwinds the mind before you post to your other favorite threads or after you post in the other threads ...sometimes i'm not here for many reasons and it's sad i find this thread on page 4 or some email and can't find it at all. That's ain't right even though posters come and go on here as they please...i can't control that
but please if you post here, today or any day keep this paragraph in your mind...

Folks this is the 6th edition of Haiku and renamed the People's Haiku for the right reason ..try if you're new and stay reading all haiku's...that makes me most happy

The People’s Haiku (Hi-koo) thread, thank you loyal posters, it’s your interest and contributions that make this thread possible!!! It’s back again because you wanted it to stay.

Please be welcomed everyone, esp if you’re new on this site and keep to haikuing by writing a haiku of your own/ invite a friend to join us also and/ or make friends right here— if you forget how to haiku, please read this whole thread and make your own to share here with the others here --it's always a great day to show yours on this thread. Perhaps start here on this thread when you enter the 50’s group any day to unwind some and then visit the other threads and/ or come here after you visit the other threads

Thanks for posting again and again.

>>> Have to say the correct pronunciation after looking haiku up is (Hi-Koo) Sorry, I stand corrected!!!

Haiku is a poetic form and a type of poetry from the Japanese culture.

Haiku combines form, content, and language in a meaningful, yet compact form. Haiku poets, whom you will soon be, write about everyday things.

Many themes include nature, feelings, or experiences. Usually they use simple words and grammar.

Haiku is three short lines! The first line contains five (5) syllables, the second line seven (7) syllables, and the third line contains five (5) syllables.

Haiku doesn't rhyme. A Haiku must "paint" a mental image in the reader's mind. This is the challenge of Haiku - to put the poem's meaning and imagery in the reader's mind in ONLY 17 syllables over just three (3) lines of poetry!

NOTE: You may take the last line of a previous Haiku and use it for your 1st line if you wish or start your own 3 lined haiku.

Check out two Haiku examples below

turtles are like slow

i'm more jet like but getting old

haiku for us all

what i mean by turtle-like i explained in my OP ...this thread i hope can be found for all before it gets off the main pages as when we age most forget we posted on certain threads so when it can't be found, no one posts on it or remembers to ...90 % of the time i post on other threads first because my thread can't be found or i have to bump my thread with at least one post when i get online if you catch my drift...another thing i like lurkers because sorp is still a household name on DH and thank you all for that ...

to all that have posted since yesterday thank you all
