I saw somewhere, if I could keep a plant alive for a year, then maybe I would be ready to get a pet. And if I got along with the pet for a year, I might be ready for a relationship.

This is a like country club atmosphere here and it's my opinion...the only thing it's free...worse yet...more schitt happens off line here too...and I'm here over 7 yrs and for the last 6 2/3 yrs more happens behind scenes more then ever...it's follow the leaders because many dont know anything then to follow...just like HS just 40- 45 yrs later

The majority is like this,..how many hook up with posters on this site yet those guys or women dont post on the threads have better odds because they find someone and the reg poster goes away until they return because they're free again. I know this happens and has happened before you became a member..many women from FL did this...at one time i was thinking of relocating to FL on separate occasions but those women (3) on separate times wasted my time...its not about keeping contact via phones etc but from where i live to where they lived i worried what goes when you aren't talking to each other from point to point..that' s why LT relationships usually dont happen and these 3 women ended up with guys that did not post on threads or blogs or forums...

If you are ever in a relationship with a narcissist than you will know. People use that word too loosely. There is a big difference in being narccisstic and an a**hole. When he was diagnosed I looked up everything I knew. He was everyone of these things. Everyone!! And when I read what a woman goes through on the receiving end and all of it was me!! It's hard to ever trust again. I've put it in Gods hands, we will see.

Seriously, my problem is that I am a huge dog/animal lover and my dog usually goes with me, weather permitting. I live with my son and his family, so I can not leave her for long periods of time. I have met men on here that say they are dog lovers, but after the first date you can usually tell, they are not comfortable around animals. Until I find that true animal lover I am content to stay on my own.

It seems like some of the most interesting men are too far away, for one thing. I've met a few from DH and other sources that don't measure up, so I guess you'd say I'm too picky. I'd rather be single than hooked up with the wrong man.

very true and very sorry you had that happen to you.. and yes its very hard to trust again.. mine was a lil different as they were bipolar and a few other things i cant remember exactly... the bad part was they kept it from me and at first was on their meds.. and were very normal acting.. then they got to actin a little hyper and strange till they finally went off their rocker.. i mean totally crazy acting.. whalin at the moon and such .. non stop for days... so loud .. i didnt sleep much as i didnt know what she might do.. finally the law got her to leave and then she got locked up later.. and was helped back on her meds... i mean she should of told me first.. and then if she didnt have the money for her meds id of helped her had i known.. but like you say the trust was broken.. i couldnt accept her back.. even though she wanted to..
you just dont hold things back from folks like that .. ya know..
