Other then health care.. I keep reading the economy is getting better and few people I know agree. Many are self employed or have businesses and they are telling me its the same to average a slight up tick. And if you are 50 have been out of work for a while or self employed? Few will hire you unless you want to be a greeter at walmart. Think they figure you might take their jobs? Or want to much money? I've tried subcontracting and I did ok. But then you would have the occasional jack a** who didn't want to pay you. When some one stiffs you for a few k that can screw you up. Or they milk it out as to paying you. I get tired of f**king rich cheap a** libs!
So lets say you are over 50 male. Don't want to change bed pans would like to spend no more then two years in school so you aren't 5 to 6 years older and looking for work what would you do?

Taking jobs no one else wants for little more than minimum wage on a night shift.
Driving delivery trucks into areas even the cops don't want to go to.
Flipping burgers, mowing lawns, delivering news papers.

I would take classes to become a CFP its increasing a lot and people don't really care about the older age of someone who is looking at their financial planning. I know most people who are in their early 20's have difficulty being taken serious . They usually have someone with them doing financial planning.

You are very welcome! some community colleges have financial planning as a major would double check. But another thing you can consider is studying marketing, or health care majors that don't involve bed pans like cardiovascular tech, respiratory therapy, etc even an associates degree helps. don't focus too much on age . When I take classes many people are 60+ working on bachelors degree. You aren't too old

There will always be a shortage of mercenaries - OOOPS - Military Contractors - to do the things the regular military personel won't do because of the law.
Check with your local CIA office. ha ha ha
