Did they ever play Cuddyer this year or did he watch the games on TV while sitting on the DL. I suppose they'll let him go after the Series.
In Chicago the headline should be CUBS LOSE AGAIN but that would be to repetitive.

Noah Syndergaard is a jerk (I could think of other names but unlike the host of this thread I have more class than to use such language)......what he pulled on Friday night was unacceptable and very dangerous. If that pitch had been an accident and he had hit Escobar then people could be more forgiving but prior to the game he announced that he had some plans - well buddy - you're plans were dangerous and if he had hit Escobar knowing he intentionally was throwing that pitch and harmed Escobar then he should be held criminally accountable....an accidental pitch close to the head is a hell of lot different than one that was intended just for intimidation. I think they are very poor sports and they play DIRTY.....So happy the Royals came back last night and put them in their place in their own playground. go Royals. OH and just so you know - I am a NEW YORKER but glad I live in the South now.

Can't argue about what would have happened if that pitch had hit Escobar, but it didn't. And it sure got the Royals off their game for a little while.
That's the type of baseball we used to see in the days of Gibson, Drysdale, and pitchers like them. It was part of the old "code" of the game. But today, it's a different game.
Remember, the Mets lost their starting shortstop when the Dodgers took him out with a slide that was intentionally designed to hit him. The guy was never even in the basepath when he went after Tejada.
I was definitely rooting for the Mets, but you gotta admire the way the Royals play the game. Congrats to the new champs, but wait till next year!!!!

My whole family is from upstate NY.....born and raised - they were all from Plattsburgh, NY area....Daddy was born in Vermont but raised in a small community Altona, NY and mama was raised in West Chazy NY....I lived there til I was around 9 or 10.....went up there every summer for vacation.

My Mets had a great season.
Mets fans called in march and our boys backed it up on the field.
I would have liked them to go 3 and 2 for their 5 WS appearances, 2 for 3 sucks but hey we can even it up next year.
Our ownership sucks but the team has put their backs up against the wall.
We also have the best GM in NYC.
His creativity will put a better team on the field next year.
KC lost before they won.
With the revenue from increased attendance and merchandise the Wilpons will spend.
We will be right in the thick of things next year.
The gnatz, redbirds, cubs, bucs, and dodgers they will see for real that their is a dog in the leaque.
Not no fluke.
