Try and see the positive in all of this..both you and your daughter are safe. I do hope that they catch the person responsible for this. I hope that time will help you to feel more at ease.. Try not to hate the world, life is good, some people are not. God Bless!

Romie: When I lived In Florida I was robbed many times and I know how you feel. That feeling will never go away and it's not of what you lost. It,s just that someone was in your house and looking thru all your things with there dirty little hands. I cault one of the punks that robbed my house once and when the police got there I had a 9mm in his mouth and he shit his pants. It made headlines the next day and I haven't had any trouble since. Just remember it was only stuff and stuff can be replaced. SORRY!!

Thank you everyone, I'm at my daughters now and she is even more torn up today then lastnight and I am indisbelief, disbelief because after doing some investigating and serious thinking on all of this, the truth came to light, see when I went to drop off the Thanksgiving Day flowers and the pie, I also had to grab a TV my daughter sold my brother and I stopped by and grabbed a nephew to help me carry it, I remembered as soon as we walked in he noticed the Video Camera sitting out and said Nice camera, then he said WOW shes got alot of XBox games and I said her and fiance play it all the time, the TV we were taking was in her bedroom and we had to move her Jewelry box from the top of dresser to get TV, then after going outside I hadn't left her money she needed, so I didn't close up house yet and my nephew said can I use the bathroom, I said yes I'll be right in, I walked in to find him standing in livingroom, I proceeded to put money in draw and he stood there watching, all this never ran through my mind during the night and I called my nephew, then police, Julian was picked up and confessed the whole thing, said when he went back in to use bathroom is when he unlocked back door, he said he then called friends from his cell and told them about the money in draw and XBOX,Jewelry,Video Camera, etc. etc. I have pressed as many charges on him and his friends possible and he is now sitting in Jail waiting for court on Monday and will not tell his friends names but the Detectives said they won't give up until her stuff is found, in a way I'm relieved to know who it was, at least one person, but it kills me to know family could do this to my daughter, and now my sister, his mother is mad at me cause we had him arrested, what the hell is this world coming to?
Thank you all so much for your kinds word and Advice, it means the world to samantha and I. Romie

Glad you found out what happened and as far as your sister and his mother, They will just have to deal with it. If you let em off he'll only do it again. I got one good guess what they'll use the money and the money they get for the stuff for.

Romie,
Sorry to hear that it was family that did this. Unfortunetely, you can't chose who ya' get in that dept. And as to your sister being mad.... it's her son she should be mad at... She should be beatin' his ass to get the names of the other little shits that helped him....

Sweetromie,

Expect the police to get the accomplices as well....... When offered a lighter charge in exchange for the information, the guilty party usually coughs up the other names....

Your daughter is safe and unharmed...... could have been much worse. Count your blessings.

I am very sad for you and your daughter, but very relieved she is unharmed... and will move forward with her life....

Too believe my sister is actually mad at me for what her son and his friends did, just blows my mind, I forgot to mention, I didn't leave the door unlocked like I thought I did, when he went back in to use the bathroom he un locked the back door to regain entry when he and friends came back, I am so thankful Sam didn't walk in while they were still there, whether she gets her stuff back or not is no concern of ours now, but seeing that justice is served is, Family or no family, my daughter comes before anyone in my life and always will, what kind of mother would I be if she didn't.
Thank you

I'm happy this is resolved. It is terrible to have anyone go into your home and take anything. But, it's the invasion that is the worse feeling. It's good that you know who did this. Now, can you help your nephew out and FORGIVE him. Help him get through this. This will be your greatest comment to your sister.

It seems to me that young people are more selfish today than ever. With all the Bling, I have this this new thing that new thing. THINGS have become the Life of young persons. It's never things, it's people!

He will pay for what he has done, but, don't let you or your daughter hold on to unforgivness, that way you'll be free...

You did the right thing. Your sister should be pissed off at her SON for being a damn thief, not you. You are at least making him accountable for being the little shit he is. (Sorry. I just hate when people, especially family, does this sort of thing.)

Even if you HAD left the door unlocked, whoever wanted to break in and steal would have found another entrance. Go easy on yourself and be there for your daughter.

Maybe today will be better.....

It's a shame when you can't even trust your family, but you did the right thing by pressing charges. If you scare these kids when they're young enough, you might be able to prevent them from falling into a progressively worse life of crime... although I doubt that your family will thank you anytime soon. I suspect that your sister is probably more embarassed than anything, but she'll have to get over it.

Good luck, and go eat some more turkey

i to have been robbed and you feel so violated, be thankful that your beautiful daughter was not home, usually it is drug addicts doing the robbing to get more money for drugs. Had she been home she could have been raped and/or killed.

I have recently finished writing a relationship seminar on how to: HAVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER GUARANTEED! It is a big cycle, people get divorced teenaged boys don't have the father in their lives and hook up with the wrong guys and drugs are done and dealt and creates a demand that ends up in a crime wave.

Sad to say that your sister is highly dysfunctional and the relationship is probably forever ruined. She sees you as the meany who had her son locked up.

I would love to be there to give you both hugs, hold you and reassure you, in my mind I am. And this is truly one of those times when it would be good to have a significant other to lean on and cry on and hold you> I wish that for you. I care.

So sorry to hear about your birthday and Thanksgiving. I guess you both have alot to be thankful for- you have each other for support, good friends to support you from this site. Sometimes so many positive experiences come from a negative experience. Hopefully, your sister could read some of the comments written here to get a better perspective of the situation.( Just reading this I could see how you were supported and thinking more clearly with the help of your friends here.) I know we like to protect our children, but when they have done wrong the best thing is to let them take the punishment as deserved. How else will your nephew learn from this?
